Plug a lamp into the wall receptical, if it works! the main fuse in the microwave has blown. Unplug, and remove the top "several screws" check under the keypad and follow wires to the circuit board, look for a silver rectangular capacitor, take a screw driver and short the two points to remove any residual voltage. Now look for a small fuse "clipped" pop with screwdriver and replace with the same current rating, assemble unit because lethal voltages are present when powered on.
Thank you John. Not very diy myself so I called a technician and repair will cost more than buying a new one. I opted for second option. Thank you for your quick response:)
Thank you, glad I could help.
Thank you so much. My 10 year old Panasonic microwave just "poof" went dead when I tried to turn it on. Read your solution and sure enough...the fuse was blown. Went to Lowe's and bought a multipak of fuses for just over $7.00. Microwave works perfect now. Thank you again.
