How can I remove the eye piece from my MS-02 Microscope?

I purchases a Celestron Digital Microscope Imager. To use it I have to remove the existing eye piece and use the one that comes with the Celestron. How do I remove the eye piece off of my Premiere Monoscope MS-02?

SOURCE: My premiere microscope MS-01 Ultra will not focus

There is what is called a "stage stop" screw. Its purpose is to limit the specimen from rising high enough to contact the objective lens. The "stage stop" screw is directly behind the black stage platform in plain sight and very easy to access. It is a thumb screw and sits vertically. Simply loosen it a bit to allow the specimen to rise high enough to focus.

You can use a Ken-A-Vision Pupil camera and slide it over the eyepiece or if you remove the eyepieces Meiji Techno has a large selection of adapters that will work with most camera's, that will fit in inside diameter of this eyepiece.

SOURCE: Are spare objectives & eye

most objectives and eyepieces are interchangeable between models of microscropes. There are however a few things that you need to be aware of. On the out side of the objective there are number written on them that look similiar to this:

100x/1.25
160/0.17

There maybe more writing then that, but usually at the very least you get this. The first part (100x) is the objective magnification, the 1.25 is the Numerical aperture, the 160 is the tube length (in mm), and the .17 is the cover-slip correctness. What you are most concerned with is the mechanical tube length. There are 3 common ones, 160, 210, and infinity. It is very important that you get an objective with the right tube mechanical tube length, or there is a very good chance it won't work. If you are working with slides, then it is a good idea to get one that is cover slip corrected, otherwise most of the other information is only real important to very specific applications. The other key variable is the threading. Most microscopes use what is call a standard RMS threading, however many educational or high end objectives will not have this.

The eyepieces are pretty straight forward. You just need to find one that that has an outside diameter of the sleeve that will fit the inside diameter of the tube it is going into. Beyond that, most eyepieces are pretty interchangeable amongst brands.

Good afternoon. I bought a Deluxe Digital

Hello, Have you tried putting something under the microscope and then trying to focus on it?Maybe the lens is out of focus. See if there's nothing obstructing the lens. If problem persists after trying those two things you should probably send it to warranty as there most likely is a bad connection between the lcd and the camera.
Hope you can fix it easily.Best regards Vlad

It is NOT in focus.

Take the scope outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. Turn the focusing knob until you get a sharp image in the eyepiece.

I was just given a telescope and I need a reliable place to purchase parts. The main piece i'm looking for is an adjustor ring on the aiming scope and some different eye pieces

Meade may have the part, but I doubt it. You can call them here:

http://www.meade.com/support/index.html

It might be easier just to replace the finder scope with one of these:

or this:
http://www.telescope.com/control/accessories/telescope-finder-scopes/orion-ez-finder-II-telescope-reflex-sight

Eyepieces can be purchased at many on-line retailers. Here are two:

There are 4 major brands (Zeiss, Nikon, Leica, and Olympus) that sell to universities etc but these are more expensive than some other manufacturers that are less well known but with high quality standards (Motic, Meiji). A well designed site with pricing information is microscopeworld.com. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful. Always look at the scope with your samples or request an evaluation period on the PO.

This microscope does not run on vista(has a gliche in os it self) however it does work on xp sp2 and below as far as the resolution if you have enough memory no problem if not it will make your computer run slow while the program is running easy to use my 8year old son can run it and pretty much figured it out on his own even taught me a few things cause I was to lazy to read instructions.
