I purchased a samsung plasma 42" TV two years ago. It was working well until recently. After watching TV for an hour the picture turns black. I have to turn it off for 30 minutes or so until I can get the picture back. Has this been a problem with other 42" plasma televisions?
Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.

I have a Samsung 42" plasma tv. When I turn it on, there is sound but there is no picture.
My Samsung HPS5053X/XAA Plasma TV stays on but has no picture. It will turn on, then time out and turn off after 10 minutes.
