Kodak z1275 easy share camera

Camera will not turn on. I have rechargeable batteries and charged them in a kodak charger. Charged batteries for 18 hours and camera will turn on initailly with the date and time set up screen showing. When I reset the date and time the camera turns off. Also, when I turn on the camera the lens does not open as usuall. Just the set date and time reset screen comes on in the viewer. Whats up?

My problem is exactly the same. I put a new battery in, was prompted to reset the date and time, and then...it just shot off, with the lens extended. At this point, nothing works to get it turned on again. The blue light on top will pulse momentarily, then it goes black.

I think that there is an internal battery that is causing problems but I don't know where it is. I always have to set the time and date every time I change the batteries, I don't remember having to do that when it was new so it must have an internal battery.

No. The Z1275 is not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then you must charge them outside the camera using a separate battery charger.

My kodack easy share c183 camera will not charge

The C182 isn't a battery charger. It uses standard AA batteries, disposable or rechargeable. If you use rechargeable batteries, you must charge them outside the camera using a standard battery charger.

Unfortunately, it appears that this may be typical with your model camera. But before returning it, you may want to try it with a different set of rechargeable batteries if available. Have also heard other complaints that Kodak rechargeable batteries and chargers can be the problem.

Unfortunantly KODAK do no longer repair this model. They offer a Trade up option where you for 25-30% cheaper than the listed price can exchange the camera to any newer model provided KODAK has the model in stock.

My camera will not stay on is off and stuck with lens out

If the lens doesn't retract on most digital camera the camera also will not turn ON. It is connection or wiring between camera power and camera lens.
What Kodak Rep will ask you to do are:
1. Remove the battery and the memory card of the camera
2. Check if your using a recommended battery and if its new or fully charge. batteries for Z1275 are Ni-MH rechargeable; CRV3 Lithium; 2AA Lithium
3. Insert the batteries back in the camera in correctly
4. Set the camera in Auto mode (its the camera icon on the dialing mode of the camera)
5. Try to turn it ON
If still will not turn ON and the lens will not retract
6. If your using a rechargeable battery Kodak Rep will ask you to charge the battery until its fully charge.
If your using a disposable battery they will ask you to try to use a new battery out from the box.
After all those steps still the camera failed to work, it will be send for repair. The number of the Kodak support line is 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK)
