The mixer uses unbalanced TS connectors You need these connectors to hook up the speakers. Below is a link to the manual for the mixer.

SOURCE: brand new mixer pmp3000 and two brand new speakers

Make sure the slider switch is set to the correct mode.

The TRIM controls must be advanced while the sliders are at 70%.

A common problem is to MISTAKENLY plug 1/3 inch input cable into the Effects Insert jacks instead of the inout IF you use 1.4 instead of XLR inout.

Make sure the channels of interest are NOT muted!

SOURCE: hi i have 2x ev sx300 speakers (speakon) and 2x

Yes, you can put two 8 ohm speakers daisy chain per side MAX. The Speakon should have ONLY two wires on the +1 and -1 terminals unless you are using bridged mode which is NOT applicable in your configuration of speakers. Also be careful is you use any 1/4 inch speaker plugs in the sytem as the SLEEVE, not the TIP of channel A is the "hot" lead... get this to ground someplace and goodbye amp.

SOURCE: Will a Behringer UB2442fx-PRO run

ALL the speakers will either have to be POWERED or have external amplifiers. The mixer has NO power amps capable of driving speakers. When connecting, make sure that the mixer is powered by the same receptacle as the speakers or amps. Used balanced line for interconnection.

HOW DO I HOOK UP PASSIVE MONITORS TO BEHRINGER PMP4000

If you are using the amp in stereo mode, then you will require a separate amp for the monitors and the input of that amp are taken using BALANCED TRS cables from the monitor jacks. If you are using the amp as MONO and monitor, then connect NO MORE than two 8 ohm speakers to the Speakon plug on the back labeled for use as monitor. Refer to your user manual... they have detailed photos of the connections. If you lost your manual, you can download another from the Behringer site. There are settings you need to do to configure the unit after connecting your speakers. The small slide switch has to be set to the center position for Main/Mon. Make sure it is centered as many people have had it slightlyu off and the system will NOT pass audio. You need to set each channel "monitor 1" level control to send the monitor signal to the MONITOR mixing bus. You will then use the MONITOR 1 slider to control the amount sent to the monitor. Be VERY careful of grounding the sleeve of 1/4 inch jacks that originate at the Speakon power amp outputs as the SLEEVE of channel A is the HOT side and you can blow the power amp for the channel... it is EXPENSIVE to repair.

Loud Speakers only have 1/4 inch inputs

Get the Speakons to 1/4" cables. If you're concerned about grounding, make sure the amp is turned off before plugging or unplugging the speakers.

HOW DO I CONNECT 2 SPEAKERS TO THE MIXER

Unpowered (passive) speakers connect to the Speakon connectors on the back of the unit. Powered speakers or amplified ones connect to the mains output L/R connectors (1/4 inch) near the upper edge of the panel.

I have recently acquired an XR600B . I printed out the documentation. Conversely to what I have seen answered here, it looks to me like they are suggesting the best/most powerful output will be acheived...

The speaker connections are on the BACK and are "Speakon" connectors... These are special plugs and these apparently can also accept 1/4 inch plugs. It appears that the MINIMUM impedance should be no less than 4 ohms, NOT 2 ohms. One of the back connectors is for the mains, the other ois for the monitor soeakers. The FRONT connections are line level which doi NOT drive speakers,

I want to connect two passive b212 and 6 active b215 , i will use two active b215 for monitors ..... i am using a PMP 3000 Please advice, also where can i get a detailed numbered illustrations sheet for...

The passive speakers connect to the main outputs using Speakon connectors on the back.

You will use Balanced connections (TRS) to the main L and R connections on top to the active speakers. Daisy chain 3 active on each of the L and R top connectors.

You can download a user manual if you don't have one.

ALSO PLEASE read my tip regarding a hazard when using Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables on channel "A" in the FIXYA tips for PMP mixers. The barrel of the channel A 1/4 inch is the HOT side of the signal to the speaker instead of the tip.

How do i hook up my new behringer pmp 5000 mixer to my fast track pro audio interface for home recording? I also want to be able to use 2 passive loud speakers. Any help most appreciated. Yep, im a newbie.

Passive loudspeakers are connected to the two "Speakon" connectors on the back of the unit. BUY GOOD cables for your speakers!!!! Whatever you do don't have a speaker line come loose while driving audio out !!! You will arc- out the rear-most power amp... I know, I repaired two of these now with the problem.

Connect the recording device to either the "tape OUT" RCA jacks or either of the pairs of MAIN out TRS jacks.

Set the slide switch for the MAIN L/MAIN R (upper position) leave this in this position unless you understand what the other positions are for to avoid damage. You will NOT need the other positions.

Further: Power ALL interconnect devices from the SAME receptacle source to avoid ground loops and possible damage.

YOUR passive speakers should be rated at least 300 Watts RMS continuos power handling or 600 Watts peaks.

Drive consumer stereo speakers with this and you will smoke the speakers and MAYBE blow the amp. This is a powerful amplifier and if you don't have at least 15 inch speakers you MUST really hold down the volume lest you blow the speakers.

Above all read the manual... yes, it is a bit hard to understand...

If you have a problem you can contact me by email for a bit of help. I have wo of these I have been using at venues now.

Fender Passport 500 System Speaker showing 'red'.

Unless you abused the cable badly, this is UNLIKELY. More probable is failure of the amplifier.
