Sound only making popping noice, to to Tv repair shot, said sound board bad and no parts available, The tv came in my 2009 RV cant be that old

The power amplifier chip (which goes "pop" when it goes bad) may be located on the board where the IR sensor is. Sometimes (but not always) you can make the TV come on by holding the power button in _until_ the TV comes on. But that usually only works when the chip is "going" bad. If you heard the pop, it's probably shot. Also, check for a fuse on _any_ of the boards, and possibly a main fuse at the back of the TV.

Sounds like your Power supply is still good. but maybe the board for the video is bad.. (maybe the main board other than power supply. If you do a search on the internet for "60pv250" and "board". you can find replacement parts. If you are capable or know someone with some electronics skills you should be able to see if any parts on the existing boards are popped (sounds like a capacitor went) and then buy the right board

Based on what you have tried if a buzz or loud static via the speakers you have something wrong in the audio output circuit of the set--problem here is that circuit may be part of the Main board that processes all signal---a look inside---following the speaker leads back would lead you to that board.

A simple thing to do to narrow it a little (you may have done this) is with sound all the way off put your ear to the internal speaker--hear anything at all like a deep hum?

Depending on age of set and cost of the board likely bad it may or may not be a do it yourself repair.

Since you say it made a pop sound, there is a defective part on one of the circuit boards. It shouldn't be very hard to identify due to the fact that it will be burned or bulging. Capacitors can make this pop sound due to the fact that the electrolyte evaporates inside of them and they vent. Some decide to explode rather than vent. You could look around inside your tv and inspect the circuit boards and see if you can find the bad component. If you are handy with a soldering iron you could do the repair yourself. If not, it might be time to upgrade to a new set or if it is worth it to you, have this one repaired at a shop. Sometimes when you repair the tv, there may be an underlying cause that made the part go bad or soon after, another component may fail.

There's an over current fault in the power supply or the Y-sustain convergence board. The loud pop was either a capacitor or pico-fuse breaking from excessive current overload. Sounds like 2 or 3 mosfets have shorted at the gate ends. Plasma TV's always have this problem because they generate too much heat and the components cant take the load conditions. Make your next TV an LCD...

Make sure there is no other power switch anywhere. The problem may be bad caps on the power supply board, or the board itself is bad. Parts for some of these Protrons are hard to get. If its the caps it should be a cheap fix, depending on the repair shop, but the board could cost $100 or so, not including shop labor to install it.

If the pop up menu isn't coming on the the screen either, then it's a high possibly that the power supply board for the screen when bad. Most TV manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board. You can usually find a replacement over the internet.
Or, if you have some electronic experience, you can repair the board by soldering in the new part. The best thing to use to help with diagnoses is a Service Manual for the TV. Usually, costs under $20 over the internet if available. It will have schematics, test points, and part numbers for the TV.

yea it sounds like a main-board or inverter board.. sounds like the panel of the television is loosing power and you are still getting sound..

Olevia did go out of buss.. but i know this 3rd party repair center called Amergence technology is offering to repair Olevia's. But the thing is that the whole television will have to get service they don't sell parts so you might want to give them a call and get an idea on the repair quote.. 866-965-3842

either the display ic on the board is faulty or is loosened .repairs needed.

that would be the inverter board, supplies power to the bulb, you would need to replace this part, but don't touch the board without wearing rubber gloves, as it can store a lot of voltage when they fail . when you get the board out discharge the capacitors to make it safe. cross the live and negative on the capacitors.
