Screen size my picture from tv seems bigger then screen, cuts off pic from top and bottom!! if there is writing on tv on bottom of tv, say score of a game or a tsn ticker, mine is cut off

    i got 1080p, and have playstation 3, also 1080p, the game i play nhl08, is 1080p but it says im only in 780p??? whats up

    Same issue, only when in Component 1 mode, or in DVD (component 3) mode. In TV mode, the sizing is ok, but picture is worse. This is in Sharp 52" HDTV

YOU MUST GO INTO YOUR PS3 VIDEO SETTINGS MENU AND SET YOUR HDMI TO 1080P AND YOUR PICTURE SHOULD BE OK

Cant see information bar on top or bottom of picture on my tv

On the remote, press the picture size button until you can see what you want. there are 4 or 5 different sizes available, dependine on the TV.

Top and bottom of the picture is cut off.

look for a button on the remote control that says, "pic size"," zoom","aspect" and scroll through until you get to 16x9, full , fill screen . i can't remember what this model states on the screen.

Also, try adjusting the settings on your cable box, not on the TV. The usually solves the problem and will then allow you to adjust the size of the picture.

Picture too large for screen

If the television is connected to a cable box such as Time Warner's HD box, the picture mode can be changed by pressing the '#' on the cable box's remote keypad (where the channel numbers are). This cycles the picture between zoom, normal, and stretch which could be cause of your problem.
