No colour picture when transfering from video to computer

Have you tried updating the drivers in your computer?

Try scanning it with RadarSync so that you can make sure that it's not the drivers that's causing the problem. You can also use the same software to update them.

My sound doesnt play back when i transfer the video from my camera to my computer, what do i do?

try restarting your computer and copy it again. if that doesn't work, its probably the file type of the video, try converting it to another video type.

My son got this camera for Christmas and was able to record, but we can't get the videos to play back sound. I thought this would be a product that he would love, but he lost interest quick because he...

Welcome to Fixya.

Some camera with recorder does'nt have a sound when you try to watch your video on the camera it self, however when you try to download it or transfer it to your computer you will hear the sound of your recording.

I have a sony digital camera with the same issue, but when i try to transfer it to my computer, I can now hear the sounds.

If you want you can try to transfer it first to your computer and check it.

I hope this information will give back the interest of your son for his digital camera.

Thank you for using FixYa

Trying to transfer video to my computer (iMovie application) through the s-video port. Picture is perfect but sound does not transfer.

S-Video does not have sound, you will need to run separate audio cables to your sound cards input ports. S-Video is only for the video signal (Chroma and Luminance), there is no provision for sound.

NO SOUND TRANSFERS TOGETHER WITH THE VIDEO TO MY COMPUTER

This happened to me. I know the solution. I uninstalled everio mediabrowser program that came on cd with the camcorder. The result was that I could not hear the sound when I played my videos. If you install Everio Mediabrowser again, the audio will play.

Sound

From the manual:
"To hear audio, transfer the video to your computer."

The camera doesn't play the audio, though it records it. You need to transfer the video to a computer in order to hear it.

Sound

Digital cameras don't record sound. You would need to either add your own sound with video editing software or record the video with a camcorder.

No sound when capturing video from Handycam to computer

There is no sound carrier on an S video connection. It's Video only. use the AV left and right cables for the sound. It is normal not to monitor audio when capturing.
