SAECO VIENNA DELUXE BREW SYTEM JAMMED

I ACCIDENTLY TRIED TO POUR A DOUBLE SHOT NOT REALIZING THAT THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE TANK. THE MACHINE IS MAKING A CONSTANT HUMMING NOISE AND IT APPEARS TO BE STUCK IN A BREW CYCLE. I HAVE TRIED TURNING THE MACHINE OFF AND REMOVING THE BREW GROUP BUT IT IS STUCK IN PLACE. I HAVE ALSO TRIED TO PRIME THE MACHINE BY SELECTING THE HOT WATER FROM THE STEAM WAND BUT I CAN'T GET WATER TO RUN THROUGH IT. HOW CAN I GET THE MACHINE TO END THE CYCLE SO THAT I CAN REMOVE THE BREW GROUP?

SOURCE: vienna deluxe can't get dump box back in - brew group flap in the way

Leave the dump box out. Use a spoon to hit the switch where the dump box would normally hit. Hold the switch until the flap is no longer in the way then replace the dump box.

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna gear jammed

This has happened to me. If the problem is the brew group gear is in the wrong position, you can manipulate the brew group until it matches up with the drive gear in the machine. You'll know it matches if you can insert the brew group back in the machine full until it clicks.

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna Digital Expresso Maker - brew group will not line up to fit back into espresso machine

Could be a number of reasons. If you "hear" the brew group moving in one direction, stop and then move again, then the microswitches are o.k. If the sound of the movement is low and/or slow ( slower that normal), the CPU/power board may be bad and needs to be replace. If the movement is as before (same sound and movement) but not lining up, perhaps the brew drive motor is bad.
To remedy this situation, an authorized SAECO Service Center would have to open your machine and replace damaged components. Contact Saeco USA Inc. to located a Service Center near you at 800-933-7876 (toll-free), ask for customer support, or contact SAECO via e-mail at : [email protected]

SOURCE: how do I descale my Saeco Vienna Deluxe?

Purchase the Saeco descaler. Mix solution accordingly. Pour into water tank. Run a cappucino cup full of water through the wand. Wait about 20 minute and repeat. Do this until all the water is gone in the tank. (Don't run all the water at once!). Rinse water tank well. FIll with clean water and run through the wand. I do this twice just to be sure I have gotten all the chemical out.

Hi. Sounds like a blocked or jammed brew unit. Remove brew unit and clean. To properly do this, you need to disassemble the brew unit. Canbe quite hard to do. The brew units are usually held together with plastic tabs, and may have to remove some screws to allow these tabs to release units assembly. Dazza REPAIRER

How can I descale my Saeco Vienna without beans in the hopper?

Hi
Never run descaling solution through the brew unit. You should never descale the machine hot either.
1. To decalcify your boiler, remove your water tank and fill it with hot water (100 to 120 degrees). Open a pack of decalcifier and mix into the water tank. Place the tank back on the machine, then turn the machine on.
2. Open the steam knob and run approximately eight ounces of solution into a spare container. Turn the machine off and let set about 10 to 15 minutes. It is very important that the machine does not remain on to heat the boiler anymore than necessary.
3. Repeat step #2 for your type of machine. Do this until you have consumed the entire water tank of solution (approximately four to five cycles) .
4. Remove water tank and rinse it with fresh water.
5. Refill the water tank with fresh water and place it back on the machine.
6. Repeat step #2 to rinse the machine, only this time use the entire water tank at one time, and there is not need to let it set. Done, refill your tank and run some water, and you are ready to go.

Saeco veinna deluxe coffee machine. i took the

If the light is still then means that either the water tank is empty or the bean hopper is empty.
If the light is blinking then the Dump box, brew group, or drip tray not properly positioned or service door not closed.
So you can make a very good visual check one by one if they are in right position.
Good luck.

My Saeco Vienna Deluxe has water leaking out from somewhere underneath - clear water.

There are so many places to check, but lets check the small chamber under the white plastic valve, which sits behind the brew unit, clean out the chamber of coffee grounds. If that is not the cause then, you will have to open the machine to find the leak.

Saeco Vienna Deluxe starts brew cycle then red light comes on

Hi
I think you put the tubes on backwards to the flow meter. The inlet side of the flow meter is by the pump and the exit to the pump is by the water tank. They cross.

Grind settings

The factory setting should be 8. The higher numbers are finer. The + and - knob is the doser amount, the amount of coffee in a shot dose. Average is 7 gm, the middle. The highest is 14, I think. Generally, the highest dose shouldn't be used consistently because it can cause stress on the brew group. Just brew two shots.

Saeco Vienna deluxe brew group was jammed

If you have the box the machine came in there is a key that kinda looks like a wine opener, use that to set the little arrow on the brew unit to the "N" letter, then the unit will fit into the machine.
