As with all Laser Printers, the fuser temp error can be frustrating. Sometimes, just turning the printer off, then back on corrects the problem. If you've tried this without success, it's time to order a new fuser. Most have been changed to Customer Replaceable Units (CRU)s. The two ways you can tell if that's the case is either the user manual will have it listed in troubleshooting or, open the side of the printer the fuser is on and see if there are finger screws or tabs to release the fuser. NOTE: IF THE FUSER IS HOT, DO NOT TOUCH! YOU WILL BE BURNED!. It takes about 30 minutes for a fuser to cool down to a safe temperature. If you can remove it yourself without tools. Great! Easy take out and replace. If not, a tech will need to come out to remove the fuser and replace it.
