Have sound and no picture

I bought 50" Toshiba projection TV 4 years ago. The TV has problem "having sound but no picture" for 4 times. In the past, the issue is fixed by replacing a Fuse and the transistor D2553. Recently the TV had the problem again, I replaced the Fuse and D2553, but TV still no picture. What I need do after replace the D2553? How to fix it?

Have a Toshiba colour TV 22" which has no sound and no picture.

You can hear the audio background noise in the speakers.

There is no voltage on the heaters of the picture tube.

I think the set was dropped.

You've got a bad solder conetion,or broken foil line,s on the pcb (printed circuit board).Narrow it down by pressing in different places,or use plastic or rubber tip.If not, then you got a shorted load on this fuse and diode.do you have a schematic, whats at the end's of this circuit.D represents a not a transistor.

Question#1: Need model # and board location #(eg. F302, Q501). D2553 sounds like a HV switching transistor (2SD2553) or Horizontal Output. If it's gone 4 times, there's something causing it. Most likely is bad connection, but without all the information, that's a wild stab. Question#2: Sounds like bad solder connection. Check bottom side of board for cracks on soldered connections. Start checking large devices (transformers, HV Switching Transistors) and devices mounted on heatsinks first. Remove all old solder and clean w/ alcohol before resoldering. Will require patience and soldering skills!!

I suggest calling a new service center to repair this. Just because the transistor repaired this the first few times, does not necessarily mean that is the problem this time. It is also possible the technician used a cheap knock off part for this transistor. Tell the new service center you want them to use original parts.

Toshiba TP50H95 No sound no picture

Sounds like a problem in the deflection circuits either vertical or horizontal. You may also want to check the solder connections in the tuner as they have been known to develop cracks over time. But the prior shrinking tends to say deflection problems. If I can assist you further please let me know.
