Tighten the thread TENSION CONTOL.
Loose adjustment causes your problem.

I have an almost untouched Memory Craft 8000 that belonged to my mother-in-law. She was ill for a long time and it was not used. It has every conceivable gadget that goes with it, including primitive scanner, etc. The problem is, that somewhere in moving out her things, we lost the glass cover that goes over the bobbin where the needle enters,so I also have had the machine sitting in my sewing room for 7 years while I used my 30 year old Sears zig zag. Now I need an extra machine in Florida and I am wondering if you would know a good source for the glass bobbin cover. I also do not know it's exact name but do know it is not called a bobbin cover. Any info will be appreciated. [email protected]

THERE ARE NO TENSION CONTROL ON MY MACHINE IT IS AN ELECTRONIC MACHINE AND WORKS FROM MEMORY CARDS....I AM SORRY BUT I CANNOT SEND A PICTURE AS I NO LONGER HAVE A WORKING SCANNER...

the email that you sent back was so helpful....it got my mind moving in the right direction and I am glad to say that my tension is now how it should be......I had forgotton about the dust and things...althought naturally I did do this...I just didn't do it as well as I should have.......once again..you are a wiz..... wiz
