I HAVE A SONYO PLASMA TV MODEL DP42746 , IT COMES ON AND HAS SOUND BUT NO PICTURE THEN IT SHUTS OFF DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX MY PROBLEM?

The power supply boaed is the most common.

unplug the power connector to the tv, wait two minutes then plug it back in and try to turn on the set... this worked for me.

Sorry you wont get any help from Sanyo or Wallmart. Buy another TV repair people will take your money.

a thousand or so people have experienced this problem! I am a military spouse and our same tv did the same thing on Super Bowl Sunday 2009! We did everything we know to do: call the company, called the repair man, etc. There apparently isn't a solution to this that wouldn't cost more than the tv is worth. So I got an attorney to start a class action:

the tuner probably needs better solder put on which the repair shops get to fix known tuner problems
when the tv heats up the solder cracks and don't make good contact , thus needing the solder that withstands the heat better

I basically paid $1,000 a year to have this piece of grud. I am having the same problem everyone else is. It shuts off by it's self, then when I try to turn it back on, it shuts it self back off or the picture looks like its having a hard time showing. Very frustrated and feel ripped off.
