Problem with printing labels - not aligned, some missing

We are using Datamax M-4206 for label printing from SQL using Bartender label printing software. Printer is connected via USB port to D-Link DP-300U printserver. Some of the labels printed are not aligned, shifted to next label, or some of the text fields seems to be shifted down. The biggest problem is that some labels are missing in one print task, like labels 1,2,3 are printed, then 8 and the others are missing. In some of next tasks the missing labels are surprisingly printed. Where the problem seems to be? Lack of printserver support of Datamax printers?

We tried to connect the printer to network computer directly via USB. The problem is still there. I forgot, we are printing using Bartender command-line features, from SQL stored procedure calling SQL job.

This is due to print server problem, you should change the options on the driver.

you are probably trying to print too low on the label
you should recheck if the labels print correctly individually. Then callibrate the sensors and they should work correctly

Won't print the leading edge of the label

In Seagull driver/Bartender software, Present Distance may be called Tear Off and can be adjusted after checking Post-Print actions in Document Properties, Stock tab. Standard setting is 0.40 inches.
On the same tab, right below that, is "Top Offset", and that adjustment may get you the lower Start of Print you want. Ok to try negative number here.

We have just gone live on sage 1000 and are trying to print labels designed in sage paperless to send to our Datamax m-4206. Labels print but we cannot get the information to line up on the labels. Is...

This can be caused by either the software, or the printer's electronic or mechanical settings. Software will usually override the printer settings for print speed, temperature, label dimensions, etc. In order to fully diagnose, I would need to know if the print is too high, too low, too far left or right, or skipping a label, etc.

Wrinkles in ribbon using Datamax H-4212 printer

Definitely. possible solution match the width of your label and ribbon. if your ribbon is wider for .5 inch it should be good.
1. check your spindle alignment, printhead alignment and rotate the green knob on the printhead while printing so that you'll see the difference.

Datamax M-4206 - error light whenever load or print labels

Perhaps the sensor is out of position, you must move to the left. Also check that the hole senser is not blocked. Also verified that the sensor type (gap or black mark) in the software is correct.

Datamax M-4206 printing too slow

Hello,

The way you can do this is to use Datamax fonts in your LabelMatrix program instead of truetype fonts like arial or times new roman. After making this change, do a test print and see if print improves. Another possible solution is use USB instead of Parallel cable (if you're not using it already).
