The sound that accompanies the dimming lights is a fast clicking. I cannot see any sparks but I do get a faint smell of a short. I have looked closely at Junction box but cannot follow wiring diagram through box to follow door switches' input. The sound stops when I close door. Last week, the car just refused to turn over in parking lot. Finally I tried flipping the light switch on and off. I had lights. Then the car started right up, but then I noticed the problem when opening door. I replaced door switch and sound went from crackling to clicking?
There is a wiring harness that feeds to the door, electric door locks and windows draw a lot of amperage. Try removing fuses one at a time that supply power to your door controls until you see the problem go away. If that doesn't work, try other fuses to accessories like interior lights. If your headlights are dimming you have a power wire shorting to another circuit, if it were to ground it would blow a fuse.

there is a pink wire that is an all time power wire and it has lost power I just had the same problem so what I did it I took the stereo out of the dash "mine is aftermarket" I then ran a wire form an orange wire under the steering wheel "which is hot with the key off" and then from that orange wire to the pink wire behind the stereo and everything started working again like it was supposed to. If you have any more problems email me at [email protected] and ill try to help

there is a starter relay in the relay box. check for power going to the relay box , also have your check for voltage going to the starter . check for ing feed at the small wire also . before replacing any more parts , i would think that all off this was done the frist time?

They are full of baloney. Ther's a switch underneath the shift lever that engages when you shiht into reverse. The mechanic probably loosened it when reconnecting the shift linkage to the new tranny.
Thay may have knocked the switch out of position, which would cause the lights to go on in some other gear than reverse. That would be the first thing I check.
Good luck !

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DRIVERS DOOR WITH THE KEY, THIS DEACTIVATES THE FACTORY ALARM SYSTEM, AND YES YOUR VAN DOES HAVE A SECURITY SYSTEM AND A TRANSPONDER KEY, IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUES YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE DEALER RECHECK THE WORK THEY DID, THEY HAVE TO PROGRAM THE MODULE FOR YOUR CARS SECURITY CODE, MAYBE THEY DID THAT WRONG, UNTIL THEY RETEST THE BCM THERE IS NO WAY WAY TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS HERE, THE BCM CONTROLS THE FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM ON THIS VAN, SO ASSUME THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE NEW BCM'S PROGRAMMING...
