Indicates for model shown a bad optical light engine---check with Sony as several models this is covered even if the set is out of warranty (CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS GOT THIS).
It is the most expensive part in the set not even of course counting labor to replace it.

sounds like your optical block lenses has melted due to heat.

I'm guessing they're inside of the Tv right? well what you could do is buy a can compressed air to remove all the spider webs and dust inside of the Tv :)

This model also has a paper filter for the Optic block that should be changed. No one ever said anything about it. shortens the life of the optic block if not changed.
