Brother MFC-235C print head removal

Hi - magenta has stopped printing on my Brother MFC-235C.
I have taken the machine apart but the print head seems firmly heldin the cleaning station and I can't see how to get the head of the machine to clean it.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

At present the printhead is in the cleaning station on the left side of the machine. I am looking for instructions on how to remove the printhead from the machine so I can clean it.

Hi I need help because I have an exam tomorrow and my printer is playing up. I have a Brother MFC 235C. I had a paper jam that I cleared but after the printer reads "printer unable 50" refer to instructions or routine maintenance.
Looking online Magenta printhead often seems to be the problem. I notice that my magena cartridge has split open and is leaking. are they connected? Any thoughts on how I repair it

There are no instructions that you would understand and once the print head is clogged up, you can noy mannually clean it , it has to be replaced! sounds like you are using generic ink!

If you have the instructions for removing the print head please just post the instructions in reply.

Your assumption that all the readers are of this posting are plebs because supposedly there are "no instructions that you would understand" is wrong.

How to change printer head on brother printer mfc-495cw

Do not try it on yor own unless you are a technician. Too many parts must be removed and counters have to be cleared and programmed. You might try calling brother, they will cover printhead replacement on certain models. Call 1-877-brother.

My brother mfc j220 canoot print magenta color although on the display the magenta is full i clean many times but when i test print i didnt see dotted magenta. what can i do?

It looks like the magenta print head nozzels are blocked.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

I have a brother DCP-135c printer. the magenta ink not printing

The process to get to the print head will take you approx. 1 hour. Without being trained on it, there is a high failure rate upon completion.

The Scanner assembly needs to be taken off. Harness Cables for the Scanner need to be removed. The Upper Case Assembly needs to be taken off. Printhead casing and printhead tubing calbes need to be removed, printhead mainboard needs to be removed, and then you have access to the printhead.

Thanks

Brother mfc MFC-5440CN magenta issues

If you have used generic ink the head is clogged and cant be cleaned anymore.

Last chance is to use original brother ink which has cleaning fluids within the ink. Run the cleaning procedure twice and simply print 10 PAGES afterwards. Wait A DAY AND TRY TO PRINT IN MAG AGAIN:

If there will be no mag. the ph is definitley clogged and needs replacement.

First, wouldn't print black, now won't print magenta- all new cartridges!

Unplug machinepowercord. Open printer and take all carts out. Plug in power. Machine demands carts. Put new one in: Replace with original ink carts!. When asked push 1 (yes New cart). If you have used thirdparty carts, there could be a prob due to construticon or ink quality. In case there is no bk after 3x cleaning cycles anymore, the head is clogged: This happens because the filter in front of the nozzels is clogged by pigmented ink. DO USE ONLY DYE INK for all types of brother inkjet machines!!!

Not printing black

First of all the print head is clogged just because you have tried to print repeatedly while some of the cartridges are empty. This results ink burn in the nozzle and clog. My recipe: Heat some drinking water in the kettle (70-80 C). Put the head in it and shake gently several times until ink is completely clean (10 minutes). Change the water do the same again. Change the water again (70-80 C) this time put a spoon full of apple vinegar (becomes a natural acidic solution very dilute) shake again, clean with cotton stick. I did it and started to love my mp800 again as much as I just bought it, all colours come back and started to print superior photos again...... Do not touch heads' copper poles and cartridges poles because of the static electric they may mulfunction and colours may becaome totally mixed for a short while...
