Every so often, a sheet of paper is printed with the top of the printed page blank and the image shifted downward instead. I then get the reset paper 1LT error message. Removing paper from the paper tray and replacing it in the tray resets the problem. But the frequency of the problem is annoying. My repair person said it's a bad design and there's nothing he can do to fix it. But the problem didn't occur when the printer was new. If duplex, this occurs only on the first page, never on the reverse.
Normally when you get an image shift it's because something went wrong in the registration section. This model has a registration roller that is driven by a clutch and solenoid. A frequent problem on this unit is that the registration solenoid will stick open and cause the print to shift on paper and it can be intermittent. You can try clean the solenoid plate, otherwise you will have to replace, the part number is 121E26000.

Someone installed the "Printing Scout" on this computer. You may need to uninstall or check all the settings in the printer driver. I'm not really familiar with Macs but I know the 8560 inside out, upside down, and backwards.

I had replaced the fuser - no improvement. I removed the fuser, imaging unit & transfer roller. CAREFULLY using a vacuum cleaner I cleaned all units and the internals of the printer, rotating the roller on the imaging unit to clean all parts. (Warning Place Imaging unit on paper as toner escapes) After a few test prints the page cleared and duplicate ghosting cleared.

I'm using a Macintosh OS X 10.6.8 with the latest driver. Problem sometimes happens when copying too, so that wouldn't be a driver problem.
