Maybe I should explain a little better. soon as the tv gets hot the volume problems come into play. I will be watching a movie and like 10 mins later the volume what cut out for 2 mins to never. I opened it up today and saw a screw that came off the main power board. I cleaned it and put the screw back but still same problem.

SOURCE: 19'' Dynex TV does not come up as a Computer Monitor.

I had this same problem with the 19" model as well. I had to reinstall video driver with the tv hooked up in order for the resolutions to work properly. In order to do this I used an S-video cable which worked well enough to reinstall the video driver. I did not try safe mode which might have been easier, I just did not think of it at the time. With the video driver reinstalled while the TV is attached to my computer, I know enjoy a crisp 1440x900 screen resolution. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My dynex tv will not come on seems to be stuck in standby mode.

It sounds like the main power supply is trying to startup but failed because there is short circuits or the main power supply is bad. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

SOURCE: We have the stereo hooked up to the dynex 42

Since you have it hooked up to the stereo system, you need to go to on screen audio set up and turn off the TV built-in speakers (you will be listening the TV sound through your stereo system speakers), then go to the audio output set up and set it to 'variable' so the audio output of the TV's RCA audio out put will vary with the volume control of the TV (not all TV will alow this function), you will need to set the stereo volume to certain level (around 9~10 O'clock setting) since the sound coming from the TV will be controlled by the TV remote volume control. You can otherwise set the TV output to be at 'fixed' level, which means the sound output of the TV will not be controlled by the TV remote volume control, you will use the stereo remote volume control to adjust the sound level instead. I hope this is clear to you.

SOURCE: need code for Dynex/DX-l42-10A for Dish Network

I know you've probably figured this out by now, since you posted last May, but I figured I would post the solution, since I just found it, and someone else may want to know.
I bought one of these sets the day after Christmas 2009, and finally figured out the code that works with the Dish Network 5.4 IR remote.
I did a Code Scan, and found that the code that works is 721. In the Dish Network listing, this is listed as the third code for Sansui.

Hope someone finds this useful, even if it's too late for you.

Why does my tv intermittently go off when I turn the volume up or down?

As weird as it sounds, I had a LG tv do this, turned out the capacitors inside were failing.

I changed them myself (cost about £10/$15)
And that fizzed the issue.

My COby tv wont turn on.

I unplugged my TV for 5 minutes after 5 minutes I pressed the Power button on the side of the TV not the power button on remote for a full minute. Plugged the TV back in, pressed the power button and it turned on. Doing this essentially does a reset.

What causes the TV to go on and off when first turned on, until it warms up for 5 to 10 minutes

Try turning the volume all the way down then power the TV an see how
long it takes to bring a screen up if you still hear a popping sound then you have a bad part with a bad connection most likey a lamp and wiring.
Call to have it serviced a must if so.

Volume problem

I would try going into the settings and seeing if any Audio Limitations are set.

Sometimes this cannot be controlled due to the devices connected to the TV set.

Also try to cold boot the TV by unplugging for 5/10 secs and plugging it back it.

Volume fades out then may come back on-Proscan TV Model#PS35690LW

hello,
this will require you opening the back cover of the television.
Check for dry soldering and re solder in the audio section of the printed circuit board....
Good luck...

My base unit keeps shutting off after about 8 minutes. Sometimes it comes on in a minutes and other times it must be reboot (unplugged.) Is it defective?

I just had the same issue - i've had them for about 18 months and they were working fine with my regular tv set - connected the red/white analog plugs to the back of the tv and then other 3.5mm end to back of base... but now, i just bought an LG hdtv and had to reverse that connection... 3.5mm to the tv and the analogs back to the base... worked ok for about 10 mins then the base shut off... seems that the volume setting on the hdtv wasnt up high enough to "register" with the base - base thought nothing was happening so it automatically shut off for "inactivity" - so, when plugged into tv, I turned the tv volume way up to 100.... seems to have worked - just need to be sure to turn the volume on the tv back down before removing the headphone jack!

LG TV Turns itself off

Sounds like it could be a poor connection in the power plug or a ' dry joint ' on the power board, if it's the latter, it will respond to light thumping at the side of the tv. If that's the case it needs resoldering by a technician..
good luck !
