you may have turned on the numeric keypad function. If keyboard does not have numeric keypad the chances are high of this being a feature using the keyboard letters .
Go to printers, keyboards etc. in the control panel and find your keyboard and update or trouble shoot the drivers. You may also want to click on start and click and go to [my computer] and Right Click on it and go down to "manage" and click on it. In the items that pop up "Device manager" should come up. Go down to keyboards and update drivers there too.

The mouse may or may not work depending on your operating system. I do not know if this mouse is compatible with Windows Vista/7 or 64-bit operating systems.
With the limited info that you provided, it seems like the motherboard is not functioning. When you turn the computer on, does anything happen in the box?
odd. go to thh control panel-- then system-- hardware--device manager
check under keyboard-- is it there? (you can do all this with the mouse)
I ask because if a part of the computer stops working, it usually gets a yellow ? mark in front of it in the list. what you can try is to "remove" the keyboard if you see it-- it will not really do it, because on reboot, it will reload your drivers again-- remove or uninstall the keyboard in the device manager, then reboot the computer and soo if the reloaded drivers fix it.
if not, it may be hardware failure. windows has plenty of drivers in it to drive any keyboard-- you dont need anything special, so there's no mystery download that your missing.
can you call acer and see if youre under warranty? you may need to send it in. dont forget, you could always buy an external keyboard for 15 bucks to plug into the back to tide you over until you're ready if you need to send it in for servicing...
Hah same thing happened to me.. but sucks really.. If the warranty is still in effect go on MAC support go to tech chat tell them what happened but don't say the cat deal or they might void warranty just say keys just wore out after constant use because you use keybinds for computer games.. So if the warrenty is intact they will send it to you for free if not it will cost like 20 bucks.. and ask them to send a guide on how to install the replacement keyboard if you dont know how.. but if they dont you can always youtube a tutorial video on how to install a replacement keyboard its really simple I did it for my Gateway Fx and they are very hard to replace keyboards with but I'm sure a mac will be easy.
Hope this helps Remember to rate this thing a Fix Ya : )
