WHERE DO I FIND THE HEATING ELEMENT ON A ESTATE DRYER

My dryer has stopped heating. I am assuming it is the element. On a estate dryer where would it be located? I am right in assuming it is in the back panel?

Go to www.repairclinic.com enter your model # and you'll see the part you are looking for. You will have to take dryer apart to get to it either the top pries up on the edges at the top or you'll have 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel. Never store anything on top of your dryer that is the # 1 cause of heat element failure

My estate dryer is not producing heat throughout the entire dry cycle. It does initially, but not all the time.Saw heating element glow and flame up shortly after , but will not stay on and dryer will run...

Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable. On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Replaced the coil and still not heating up on my estate dryer

The thermal fuse (aka thermal limit switch) is probably blown. It is not a good idea to bypass this fuse -- if the dryer overheats, it will not cut off the heating element -- fire is likely in that scenario. If you want to troubleshoot the problem, let me know,
