Icemaker for sub zero 632 is not working, tray will not fill with water, there is no water in tray, It worked fine before hurrican, we emptied the frig and freezer and shut off the breaker for the hurr

We shut down the freezer and frig after cleaning it out for Hurrican Ike. After we got back into the house powered it up again and made sure ice tray was empty. Ice maker will not make ice, water will not fill in tray so I guess it is not getting a command to fill. I took it out and checked it and it looks fine. Anything else I can do to make it fill with water? John

Check the water pressure ... if you have a filter in the line it may be restricting the pressure ... I had the same problem and a new filter fixed it

Sub Zero model 632 Icemaker shutoff arm stuck in the up position. No water in ice tray. Tried turning frig off for 30 seconds, no luck. Checked water supply, it's good. Metal fill tube not...

The shut off arm is in up position. This is the off position for the ice make. Try pulling the down to the first level this will engage the micro switch to start the ice maker. Also, behind the ice maker is a 4 wire plug remove the plug and see if there were some electrical arcing. But first before removing the ice make plug--Please unplug the refrigerator first before work on the ice maker. stewbison

My ice maker in my Sub Zero Model 532 won't make ice. I can hear the motor try to unload ice, but nothing comes out. I think the hose is frozen but I dont know how to get to it. Help!

It sounds like it is the fill solinoid for the ice maker..I don't know if you just had it installled or if you have had this for a while.. so I will offer a couple of options.. your Sub-Zero is a built in and is not easy to pull out because it is sitting on jack bolts and will have to be let down before it can be pulled out...if you have owned it for a while and the icemaker has stopped working it maybe the water line solinoid It should be located at the front of the unit behind the kick panel on the bottom of the frig. take the two screws out that hold on the toe kick and then
you will be able to see where the water line connects to the frig. that assembly is the solinoid and is secured with a couple of 1/4" hex screws.. if you call your local appliance repair/parts dealer and give them the model and serial # off the tag inside of the refrigerator door they can order it and replace it for you if you do not want to mess with it...or if the unit was just installed you may want to make sure that
the water line is not kinked underneath the unit.. it is
pretty tight under there and somtimes when the unit is rolled back into the hole the line will get kinked..
it sounds like the rest of the unit is working fine. it is just not getting water.... I hope this helps.....

Water Leaks from Ice Maker of Sub-Zero 642

Sounds like the water inlet valve to icemaker is leaking - not closing completely after filling the tray. Rare, but possible. Prove it by shutting off icemaker arm or switch. If that is the cause, the drip will continue.
If dripping stops when I/M is off, then it is ice blockage in I/M fill tube and or diverter funnel at end of ice tray. Remove I/M, clean ice from both, and re-assemble.
Replacing that valve (water supply to refrig connects to it in the back) should solve it.

Sub Zero 632 leaking water

Had the same problem on the same model (632). Turned out to be a plugged drain tube on the condensate collection trough located on back wall of the refrigerator. Simply pull out the crisper drawer (the drawer below the lowest shelf) and you'll bee the trough. The drip tube can easily be plugged by a vegetable leak or grape, etc which had fallen into this trough. Hope its as simple for you as for us.

Sub-Zero 632 Ice Maker Leaking into Ice Bucket

Ice Maker is overflowing and leaking into the ice bucket: There are several things to check for.
Go for the easy stuff first, make sure the icemaker is level, some of the plastic liner fridge's will move and allow the icemaker to tilt over and leak. Other troublemakers..... the fill valve
staying on and over filling the icemaker..... the finish sometimes comes off the icemaker body and all the ice cubes don't come out. This will allow the new water to fill on top of an icemaker
that still has a ice cube or two left inside the body, if you have had trouble with black specs in your ice cubes, this may have been the beginning of your finish problem on the icemaker body.
On the module style ice makers (Whirlpool, Maytag Family, Sub Zero) the printed circuit in the
module head often wears and the contacts become too long and allow the icemaker to over fill = new ice maker or new module head.

Older style icemakers: This gear is bad for breaking and the icemaker quits turning to eject the ice.
You can remove the front cover to see the gear.
This is a common parts breakdown of the older style icemakers

Water fill volume: The water fill adjustment screw will change the fill volumes by changing the fill time.
One half to one full turn usually ( approx ) is equal to 20cc ( 0.68oz ) to 40 cc.
The correct fill is usually 130 to 150 cc ( 4.5 to 5.0 oz ).
When a water valve is replaced the fill volumes must be re-checked!
