Downloading Songs From PC

Mp3 player should have a USB port or a USB date cable, and what you need to do is using this port or cable to get connected to your pc, then when it appears in your pc, you can put songs in it. It's easy.

Sony mp3 player won't charge using any usb port in my computer. Mp3 port is loose...took apart, don't see y it's loose

Possible reason could be frequent use would have damaged the port connectivity, If there is another usb port use them or else you can clean them to se it this works. if not try to fix a USB extender which can be procured from any PC harware shop that might sometimes give a good connection , thre after do not remove this connector but use the extender port.Check to also see if your USB drivers can be reinstalled, check though the device manager/ ports. Helpful? Good day.

Problem of player

  • Try to connect the player to the USB port at the back of your PC if you connect the player to the USB port in front of your PC.
  • If a USB cable is needed to connect the player to your PC, use another USB cable and avoid the USB cable that is too long.
  • Uninstall the player and USB drivers from your PC and re-install them.

Hmm...well wnhen ever i charge my mp3 and i connect the usb with my computer then it doesn't show up anything in ma computer itz connected ornot n thats why i can't put new songs in it..

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

IPod Shuffle and compatibility with USB ports

yes it's a common problem, it might be a usb 2.0 or high speed usb port but the motherboard is unable to supply enough ampage to supply the port. Assuming you have tried removing other usb connected peripherals and tried a different port, the only way you may get the ipod to connect is to purchase a mains powered usb hub as the power supplied is sufficient to connect to ipods and pda's etc.
