For the problem I have been having with my tv power supply, the parts I ordered are here.
I have a question about the capacitors I am about to replace. Here are the specs of the original:
3300 micro farad, 10 vt nichcon with a HD(M) on the side. The replacements I ordered are 33000 micro-farad 63 vt SAMXON with a KM(M) on the side. My question is will this replacement work and what do the Letters HD(M) and KM(M) mean?
ARe these suitable replacemtents?
Thanks,
-Bill

Russ,
I just checked the link and the bookmark I had, and it seems the post has been removed. It was in the How-To section and included pictures and part numbers for the capacitors. I will try to find it and let you know if I have any luck.
Here is the part number for the capacitors and a link to the place I bought them. They were very easy to deal with and their shipping was FAST. You can buy in bulk to save a little money. I bought 10, even though you only need 4 for the repair, this way I have spares in case it happens again (or if I screw up soldering)
They are about $.39 each if you buy 10.
The part # is P13119-N
and here is the link

Without the repair link I can try to explain as best I can what the repair involves.
You are looking for the DM board. It sits upright in a metal enclosure on the left side of your TV when you are looking at it from the back. You will have to take a few things off as well around it to get it out. Once you pull the board out you should see 4 capacitors grouped together at the upper right corner of the board (I think it was the upper right...it's been a while) you will likely see that the tops of these capacitors are bulged out (clear indication of blown caps) Simply replace those 4 with the part number I linked to and you are back in business. I would say the repair took me about 2 hours start to finish and my skill level is only average.
I hope this helps, I will still try to find that link as it was very useful and even had pictures.
Good luck, hope to hear back with good news.
Steve

There are 2 mirrors in this set. the small mirror located in front of the lense is the most important. it collects dust and grime.clean it thoroughly.not only will this dull your picture it can also cause small blotches in your pix usually noticed on light colored scenes.

The ballast hardly ever goes out on your model. Its more likely failed capacitors on the power board which is the cause of the solid red lamp led. Heres alink to the repair kit for your model and it contains the replacement capacitors and step by step instructions with pictures.
