There is no setting on the 1710 printer to clear the error of a non Dell branded toner being inserted. Some higher end Dell printers do have a setting for Non-Dell branded toner. Not all Dell printers have this setting. Resetting the drum count will have no effect on a non dell branded toner error.

Is the Dell 1710 made by lexmark? if so which model is it

Hi,
Yes they are.Dell printers are made by Lexmark. The 1710 is actually a Lexmark E240 in Dell clothing - a very highly rated printer and a top pick by Buyers Lab Inc (7,000 pages without a single paper jam according to BLI). HP has a bogus comparison of the Dell 1710 with the HP 1320. HP never actually bothered to test the 1710 and based its comparison on the 1700, not the 1710. I can tell you that the 1710 first page out is 8 seconds, not the 34 seconds that HP states. Also, the HP 1320 is TWICE the price of the 1710, so the comparison itself makes no sense (and of course a $159 printer will not have duplex printing!)
Thanks!!

Where do I find the toner waste hopper

Hi, this printer should not have wast hopper at all.
Due our experience for the samsung printer the ML 1710 don't have it.
to refill this toner unscrew 5 top screws then open top cover you will find powder container refill it and re screw screws back.
If it have CHIP you need bought one if this toner done 2000 pages.
But I suggest bought compatible toner, it will helps you reduce messy job, the toner poweder is high risk if you are going to refill in your room it will caused health problem include cancer.
We don't have this toner at the moment currently.
Hope it help.

I have Dell 1710 Laser printer. Toner and Error lights are on and the printer doesn't go online. Can anyone help?

You need to replace the toner. Printer shuts down when print counter reaches it's limit on the toner cartridge

After replacing toner cartridge, error/toner lights stay on

Open the front of the printer then hold down the cancel button. When the lights flash close the front and it should Reset.

Toner cartridge doesn't work

It's the chip (circuit). It's terrible quality control that you would get 2 the same. Lexmark makes the printer for Dell, however some chips are proprietary (Lexmark Only, etc) Interested to know if this is supposedly a universal cartridge . Maybe Lexmark E232, 332, etc.? Somehow they must have mixed up the chip supply in the remanufacturing process, and these are Lexmark chips only???? Just guessing.
Anyway, the chip is the problem. I'd return it and go somewhere else for the compatible, but it's up to you.

Dell 1710

If that is the only light:
Remove the toner cartridge and firmly shake it from side-to-side and front-to-back several to use the
remaining toner, and then reinsert it and continue printing. Repeat this procedure multiple times until
the print remains faded. When the print remains faded, replace the toner cartridge

If not let me know.

Dell 1710 lights

You need to replace the drum and toner to correct the issue. That's the sign of the drum at its end of life.
