My son received an iTouch for Christmas and after successfully downloading some apps via a wireless link, he was able to use them for a few days. Now, everytime he opens an app, it opens for 2-3 seconds, then reverts back to the main page. I have read on several websites that this seems to be a very common problem with no definitive solution. We have tried several solutions that were offered with no success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Connect the iPod to your computer, open iTunes, check the 'Applications' tab in your iPod's info and make sure it is set to install apps.

Hi,   The easiest way to download to your iTouch is directly to your iTouch via the Apple Store. The Apple Store icon is already on your iTouch. Just make sure you are near an internet connection via Airport or Wi Fi. Click on "Download" on the selected app, and then wait a couple of seconds. Your iTouch will indicate when the download is done and the app is installed. You will see the new icon on your your screen page.
If you install from your computer, you will have to plug your iTouch into the computer and use the  iTunes app to control what you download.
I hope that helps.   Shari Dyer

I am not able to download vlc media player for ipod touch . please provide me a valid link for it.

The VLC media player is no longer in the Apple Appstore. It was taken down by apple due to the app violating the GNU public license (GPL) because App Store purchases have Digital Rights Management (DRM) applied to them.

New downloaded apps wont work

Try removing that app from your iPod, then download it again from the App Store (free re-downloads) or if it is on your computer, simply connect your iPod and upload it back onto your iPod. That always works for me.

Ipod applications not working

Have you validated that the free apps work with the firmware you are currently using? If your iPod had a firmware upgrade, it is very possible that the apps themselves may not work (or may require an update to work).
