To use the scan to email function on your copier you need some settings from your internet provider (email setting specifically). Go into Outlook options and get your SMTP server, user name and password.

On your copier you need to change under User tools, system setting and file transfer and put these settings in. As long as your machine is set up for scan to folder thats all you should need.

SOURCE: How do you change SMTP server settings on the

changing settings for admin/default email account. goto user tools the settings are either in interface or network.
for specific users goto user tools>admin>adress book > select the user and in there it will be in email settings.
of course this is all much easier from the web interface. just put the ip into a browser window and go from there!

SMTP Scan to email problem on a Ricoh MPC2500

Ricoh scanner uses a email account to send the scan to email. That email account has the wrong password on Ricoh settings, probably someone changed the password and now needs to be updated. I hope it helps.

Ricoh 2352 will not scan to email

could be alot of reasons for not scanning to e-mail, need more detail but here are a few common problems/settings. Go to counter/menu, then system settings, then go to "file transfer", add your smpt server name/IP and then smtp authentication if you have a smtp password, then scroll down to administrator e-mail address and put it in, then scroll down to auto add sender name and swithch it on, then go to "pop before smtp" and swithc it off, also swith off "max e-mail size"

Mx-2300n network error ce-00 when trying to scan to email?

Using Internet Browser access to the Printer/scanner, accessing Network settings, I noticed that the "Connection Test", (below the SMTP Settings), would not go through when SMTP Authentification was set to "ON". Turning it "OFF" allowed the connection test to succeed, but did not change the error code.
However, adding a secondary SMTP Server, allowed it to go through, (leaving SMTP Authentication set to "ON").
Good Luck
