Fan running but not keeping cold

My refridgerator fan is running constantly but it's not keeping the freezer cold or the fridge. It's leaking water around the doors and I hear water trickleing from within. We tried cleaning the coils and others parts behind fridge but it didn't help. Do I need a new fridge? My husband is very handy and can replace parts.

Motor on both refrigerator and top freezer runs but does not get cold or freeze. Coils have been cleaned. No water drips. Is this a problem with the defrost timer?

Check to see if the compressor is running, if not you may need a start kit, (relay, overload) If the compressor is running take the back freezer panel off and check to see if there is a frost pattern, might be out of gas if frost pattern has receeded

Freezer not getting cold and dripping water

I own a similar Kitchen Aid fridge that had a defrost icing issue: Kitchen Aid KSRP25FNBL00
> Ice had plugged the drain hole at bottom of chill coil section inside the freezer compartment.
> I learned that the coil, circulation fan was not working, but condenser was working.
> I paid a tech to replace the circ fan, about $200, including a new swiss-made fan. He said it was unusual for these fans to fail, but not unheard of.
Expensive, but saved the purchase of a new fridge. Has worked great for 6 months since then.
HOpe that helps.

FRIDGE TO WARM MODEL ED22DWXTNOO

It's a circulation problem so either the fan in the back of the freezer(circulates freezer and blows cold into fridge) or the defrost element. If the element is faulty the rear ices up and air won't flow. If fan is faulty it's not blowing the cold air. Remove rear panel if no ice it's the fan if its full of ice it needs the defrost element(usually get termination sensor also depending on type) If you open the freezer door and hold in the doorswitch you should hear the fan running if its working.

The refridgerator has large amnts of water leaking from freezer

Looks like your defrost element is bad and needs replacement. Or if you can do a manual defrost and check if you are getting heat on the element. If there is heat, you can find a piece of copper wire and wind it around the element, leaving a trailing length of around two centimeters into the outlet drainpipe. By conduction this should keep the drainpipe clear.

Freezer working well fridge not working at all

there is a fan in the back of the freezer that pushes air into the fridge side of the fridge it sounds like this has gone out on you. this fan is usually right by the coils in the freezer the only thing that keeps the fridge cold is a little air being pushed over there constantly

Freezer in nice and cold but refridgerator is not

due to lots of moisture in the air or high humidity it creates extra frost in the freezing unit this creates blockage in the air flow once the ice crystals build up. the freezer is what keeps the fridge at the normal temperature if the air flow between the two are blocked in the ducting then the fridge temperature will rise the best way to solve this is to open the freezer take out the 4 screws in the back panel tilt the panel forward and blow it with a blow dryer till the ice chunk has melted its a good idea to use a towel and on the top self of the fridge to obsorb excess water this can be kinda messy. or you can unplug your fridge for about 6 or so hours. good luck hope i helped. :)

Fridgidare, freezer cold fridge warm

sounds like you may have gotten a refridgerant leak causing a low charge condition. some refridgerators have a evaporator fan if this quit working it will cause it to freeze up .thus the freezer does not use a fan and it will still get cold

Freezer staying cold but fridge is getting hot

More likely than not there is a blockage of ice bettween the freezer and the refridgerator. most fridges work to get the freezer cold as a priority. Then the cold freezer air is circulated throughout the rest of the unit to keep the fridge cold. Thats why you may hear a fan running in the fridge unit while the compressor is not on. Unplug and open the doors to warm the inside. Look at the plastic piece bettween the two units and remove. See if there is ice build up and use a hair dryer to melt, dry area out and restart the unit by plugging back in or turning temp dial. Hope this helps.
