SOURCE: got noise from fan told its fan on hard drive worn

The hard drive does not have a fan. There is a fan on tht CPU heatsink and a fan in the power supply. You may have a case fan for additional cooling, but this is not always installed.
Noisy fans are easy to replace, but not the one in the power supply.

SOURCE: Fan makes a lot of noise, then computer suddenly shuts down

Your computer seems to be overheating. Probably the heat sink or air path to the CPU is dirty, or you have a hardware device making interference with the air path way. You may also have bad BIOS configuration try downloading and running core temp 1.0 google it. The program will give you recommended fan speeds and will tell you the temperature of the system. If non of this works, your computer is a SIMPLY lemon.

De dietrich range cooker very noisy when oven on?

Have you checked the exhaust fans within the oven? These can make a lot of noise if something has come lose. They should be located at the top of your oven or on the back. I would check that.
Good luck

Dell 5100mp projector fan is quiet when doing presentations on table top, but makes noise when ceiling mounted for home theatre. Noise get better after 20-30 minutes, but is just as noisy next time i...

turn it on when sitting on a table right side up. If possible, take the cover off and support carefully nearby the unit. Then slowly rotate the unit upside down and notice when the noise starts to get worse. Have a look at the fan area and see if there is anything that's causing the fan to make a worse noise. perhaps the bearings are getting worn out or something's not as titgh and vibration is being amplified by the fan unit.

Why is the fan so noisy?

Hi there,
You fan is like a vacuum that's pushing air out, rather than pulling it in. It's also a magnet for dust, so they tend to get noisy when they're clogged with dust. It's like your heart, when it's clogged with cholesterol it will pump a lot harder than a healthy heart. The best way to fix your noisy fan is to get it cleaned. You don't want to clean it with water, you want to clean it with air. If that doesn't work, then your fan is just worn and it either needs to be greased or it needs to be replaced.

Fan is noisy -loud wheezing sound. No dust. Banging on case sometimes stops the noise.

The fan has a noisy/worn bearing, I recommend replace the fan.
Banging the laptop base is not recommended, you could damage the hard disk.

Motor/compressor is noisy

Hi,
Often the noise is the condenser fan underneath the frdge... the bearings get worn and then the fan starts to make a horrible racket...see if you can pin the noise down to that and then order a repalcement...

That is not that hard to fix and you can easily buy the parts yourself online...

Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

My PB Easynote R1938 refuses to boot/start up!

Hi. You may have disconnected the fan by mistake when unscrewing it, so the laptop closes down when the system detects the fan isn't working. I would check the fan. It should have a tiny cable which plugs into the motherboard.

Otherwise the only solution may be to remove the hard drive and install it in another laptop, then you can access the data from there.

My CPU is making lot of noise especially when I'm using programs like Adobe reader

The CPU wont make noise unless its frying. So its either your hard drives, cd drives, or your fans.
If its your fans i sugest buying newer "Cool Master" fans that are powerful but less noisy
