No im sorry to say, not in the standby mode but in the shutdown mode. this could be from several things. like a bad regulator IC in the main supply, or a set of bad capacitors between the main power supply and the sweep power supply, or maybe a shorted audio output IC oer a shorted convergence IC or could even be because fluid leaked down onto the Printed circuit board, from the CRTs. When the convergence amplifier ICs go bad (STK392-xxx), they RARELY cause more than one color to go out. The fact that the top and bottom of the picture are effected indicates the vertical convergence IC. Replace both, and while you're in there check the bias resistors... it is likely one of these is open. Once the ICs have been replaced (as well as any open resistors), customer convergence followed up with the auto convergence should do the trick.
yes it a soldering job, replace the 2 ics, model no. tsk..., and check the resistors at the pins.
