Vizio p50hdtv10a screen flashes

Flashes about once per second. seems to start at the edges to the center horizontally with snow and the menu boxes are there but no text. Also no color just b&w. Replaced power supply for start up issue when unpluged, but that did not fix this issue. hard reset did not help. Checked connections. Sound good.

SOURCE: 50" Plasma Vizio P50HDTV10A - no video - just flashing B & W

Don't replace anything, Vizio has issued a lifetime warranty for this set because of this problem. No joke, call the customer service line and tell them you got the pop of death. They'll send someone out to 'repair' the set free of charge. If they can't fix it they'll give you a new one. Even if your mfg purchase warranty has expired. Call them and post the results. I've been fixing TV's longer than I care to admit and this is the first time I've actually seen a company stand behind their products like this. I bought a broken tv with the intent of fixing it and after replacing almost every board I could only manage to get the vertical racing stripe line, except mine was purple. I put it all back together and called to find out if there was a recall on this set and within 5 minutes the (Actual English speaking) gentleman told me to sit tight and he'd have a repairman come and do his thing. He did, and long story short, he couldn't fix it. Last week they delivered a new TV to replace this one. I was shocked. I think Vizio will have all my future business.
Good luck.

SOURCE: My Vizio VX32L LCD TV will power on but no picture or sound

I had the same problem after having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black. There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do the same thing all over, no pic or sound.

HOW I FIXED MINE: I ordered a new "main PCB" from tigerdirectparts.com (you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up, disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine. I used both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me $144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.

For me the part number was either (depending on the vendor) : 0171 2272 2174 or it was 3632 0212 0150. Check your circuit and see if any of those numbers match up.

SOURCE: vizio p50hdtv10a. Tv has sound

sounds like you needed to replace your video fuse before anything normally if you have video but no sound its an audio fuse and vica versa if for some reason both were out I would say your in need of a new power supply I would suggest replacing the fuse and if it still does not work contacting a service tech to run a diagnostic to see what exact part or maintenance you need

Was given Vizio p50hdtv10a plasma, it has flashing screen no picture or sound, with lights off in dark room I can see around blueish circle in center of the screen, looks like bad plasma screen.

probably is junk and that is why it was given to you
don't bother fixing it ( if possible ) because plasma units use about 95% more power than an LED unit so save you money on both accounts

I have evenly spaced, rows of two vertical green and red lines from top to bottom of my vizio plasma P50HDTV10A

Somehow when switching between the tv and the dvd my wife encountered the pink and green, thin, parallel, vertical lines on the screen. The picture was visible with the lines. I turned the tv off and on but the problem persisted. Unplugged tv for about two minutes and after plugging it back in and turning it on the vertical lines very gone and the picture was back to normal.

I have a Vizio P50HDM which will seem to turn on but It displays a small blue rectangle in the center of the screen with the message: "No Signal" I have tried pressing the input button but same message....

Your TV isn't detecting a signal on any input. You can have a bad connecting cable, or a defective source unit, (cable box, satelite reciever, DVD player....). Those are just a couple of possibilities, but a good place to start. Good luck.

We also have a Vizio with red horizontal lines and our TV is new

It's possible that the motherboard or the controller board for the screen is defective. At this point, I would use the warranty from Vizio. It should be no doubt that it covered. Here's the info you will need from the Vizio web site.

How to program pip on my vizio

PIP (Picture-in-Picture)
Picture-in-Picture is a feature which allows you to watch two different signal inputs simultaneously, when
selected.
Press menu, go to set up (the wrench icon). Drop down one to the button and highlight the option.
Press the button to activate the PIP feature, which will bring up a display showing Style.
Press either the or button to select it to be either PIP, POP or OFF.
Press either the MENU key to return to the previous menu display or the EXIT key to return to your
program if task has been completed.
If PIP is selected, then you will have the options of selecting the Input (Refer to PIP mode on page 60 of
this manual; for different combinations), Size (The size of the little box to watch the second signal) and
Position (Where you want to place the little box with the second signal).
If POP (Regularly called Picture-by-Picture) is selected, you will only have the option to select the Input
as the screen will display the two different signals side by side; each one occupying half of the screen.
Using the AUDIO key allows you to select which audio

P50 VIZIO WHEN ON HDTV I GET SNOW

it's probably the Time Warner cable box that have issue and not the TV. Try using a DVD player and test the same input, it should work fine.
