Generator is only 1-week old, and ran 1st. time for 4-hrs., now
my Generac Guardian 17.5KW generator cuts off after 24min.
then starts right back up, and runs for another 24 min.
Any Ideas?

If this is one of the big "taco cart" portables you need to check that the vent on the gas cap is open when you're running the engine. In the center of the gage on the gas cap is a little knurled knob, turn it counter clockwise (lefty loosey), about a half turn or so and run the generator.
If that doesn't solve your problem add to it here, otherwise please give me a rating I'm trying to build a little credibility here and could use the help.

Does the generator have an automatic test run in place? I have some neighbors with a generator and it kicks on an off like that once a week. However, there was another individual who got the same type of generator and it was a lemon. I guess that happens on occasion as well. I don't think they had generac generators though.
