So are you saying you are connecting a CAT5 cable from your PS3 to you computers network card?

roll foil up and place in the usb port on the controller, this creates a good conductor when connecting to the ps3 and should work

may be because of joystick

try to buy ps3 joystick converter which coverts ps2 joysticks into ps3 joystick ,

coverter can bought on ebay ,it is less

U check the channels display?Anythings less than 1080i is standard def channels.

PS3 game controllers must be plugged in via a USB cable to sync them to a PS3.

After they have been turned on while plugged into the PS3 they can then be operated wirelessly.

As for not connecting to any TV, I'm not sure what you mean by that.

then there is no connection from your ps3 to your computer/modem. make sure you have a phone wire connecting your modem to a pc, then have a ethernet cable connecting your ps3 to the modem. or you can keep the phone wire to the pc, and connect the ethernet cable to the ps3 and the pc.

keep pressing the power on button until you hear a "bip", that should reset your ps3 configurations and then it apears on your tv screen.

your connect might just be bad, try moving your ps3 to a different location, maybe a new tv, re-set the connection, your connection on your computers, or maybe your ps3 is just over heating.. which then you would have to send it in to sony =x good luck

Your wireless router probably has a wep or wpa passcode that you will need to enter into your PS3.
