Most hardwired smoke detectors have a built in battery, and when they wear out the smoke detector will "chirp" about every 10 minutes. You are best off getting a new one . they last up to 8 years, but do get dirty or greasy.

Hi.... The problem is the flow sensor under the EM-200. There are three special screws. Inside there is this flow sensor. It´s a Hall effect transitor (w5029) but the problem is the small magnet in the small turbine inside the sensor. Open it, take the small magnet away, make a hole throught it from side to side and then glue the small magnet in the top side, closer to the sensor. It will work again. Brown wire = GND - White wire = 5Vdc - Yellow wire = pulse.
.
.
After 1 year and 3 months, the problem appeared again. The same flow sensor. The small magnet was completly rusty. I had to change it with a new one. The problem is solved. You can also buy a new flow sensor at Aliexpress. Go there and look for: " Water Flow Sensor 0.3-6L/min Switch Meter Flowmeter Counter Sensor Water Control 1/4" 1.75MPa DIY Kit" Good luck !!

Why is my Powerbolt 1000 unit beeping?

This is the relevant excerpt from the Powerbolt programming and troubleshooting instructions:

"To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:

Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1).
If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish)."

Since you've already gone through the battery change, try the battery remove-reinstall recommended above. If that doesn't work for you it suggests that you need to replace the appropriate Powerboard for your lock.

So this is the link to Weiser Customer Support Page, where you will find the appropriate number of your location:

http://www.weiserlock.com/en/CustomerService/ProductSupport/SupportContact.aspx

I suggest calling the appropriate toll-free number and having a conversation with a representative about this problem. You will want confirm that you need the part before you go through the expense, and that it's worth it. You will need to know the "finish" of your lock. Try to talk them into warrantying the part, in spite of the age (one year warranty on electronics), as a matter of good customer relations. They will help you get the correct part on order.

Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!

Hi, I have a colleagues laptop here which seems to power up for a few seconds but then doesn't go any further. There is definitely power getting through the motherboard, and the HDD spins up, but...

I believe that is a No Post issue.
Its not the hard drive because you said " and the HDD spins up, but it seems as though it doesn't reach POST" or else you 'll be getting errors associated with the hard drive
There are some laptops even though it has a RAM NO POST issue will not beep
" no display and no beeping at all "
For us to determine if this a Motherboard Issue we have to disconnect all parts that can be disconnected. Disconnect the hard drive, Memory (RAM), battery, if you have a Modem daugther card, Express card, PCMCIA Card.
Try Turning the computer on using the Power Adapter hooked up on the computer. If you are still getting issues Definetly that is a Motherboard have gone bad but we really need to check up other parts that are disconnected

If Motherboard is good you will be getting video but it will stop on the POST screen and you might be hearing beep sounds as well. That means that the Motherboard is fine. Put the parts that are disconnected and clean the metal contacts as well one at a time and try to isolate at what part that is bad

Dell inspiron 1501 won't boot but caps lock flashes continuosly. when i remove memory it doesn't beep

Caps lock flashing indicates faulty memory - it's a POST (Power On Self Test) before BIOS executes. When memory is removed it should indicate "no memory". Carefully re-insert the RAM memory module, check the tiny contacts inside the connector on dust. Then try again.

If there are 2 memory banks (1 one the back, the other under keyboard) remove one RAM memory module.

If capslock keeps on flashing test it with another RAM module.
