Probably dead gas from sitting too long. Dump it out & put in fresh gas.Could have moisture in it. Pull out spark plug & crank it over several times after putting gas & let it sit a while to dry out or blow it out with compressed air. It should go.

Testimonial: "I finally got it started after draining the gasoline out and replacing with new gas. It only runs with the choke engaged, but I'm going to seafoam the carburetor and add it to the gasoline."

SOURCE: Mower will not start. Replaced spark plug, air

the key word here is the sound, engine must have compression, put your hand over the carb and try to start, if it trys to **** your hand then you should have enough compression, if it doesnt then you probably have a broken valve- hope that helps

SOURCE: king cat ride on mower

could be the spark ignition module, the flywheel sensor pick-up,a rusty flywheel thats so rusty that can no longer transfer spark impulse to the pick-up coil,an ignition wire or fuse in this circuit,or a bad ground in this circuitry too

SOURCE: Recently bought a 2004 Husqvarna

Hi, I would check the pump out. Air maybe getting in pump. You should get a rebuild kit for pump.
Gasket(s).need to be replaced. cracked or ripped. Hope that works for you.

Riding mower will barely move

Sounds like it time for a tuneup. Air filter changed, Spark plugs replace and oil changed, plus sharpen the blades while you are at it.

Yard Machines 22 inch mower, I dumped it on its top over the weekend, bent the blade, replaced it, now wont start, did leak oil out of the air filter, cleaned it out real well still wont start

if you bent the blade most likely you bent the crankshaft too.
Remove the spark plug and pull the rope and remove excess oil from the spark plug hole
check the spark plug for spark if you have none then a flywheel key is sheered a more in depth fix.
If you get it started you may notice a whole lota vibration due to a bent crank shaft or maybe not?

MTD TRACTOR FLIPPED UPSIDEDOWN; NOW IT DOESN'T START ???

Does the engine turn at all? If it does, the you probably need to replace your fuel filter, air filter, and spark plug.

On small engines, when they get turned over like that, oil tends to go places it shouldn't. Usually that means that your filters, and carburetor, and from there into your cylinder, fouling your spark plug.

Check those items, and replace any that have traces of oil in/on them.
