Washer gets to rinse cycle and starts to pump water then stops?

Then it sits a little while and tries to pump again and stops. This goes on for a while then the washer starts to beeb steady. I hit the start/pause button and it the light comes on and flickers above the start/pause button and cant push any other buttons to get it to work. All lights that where on go off when push the start/pause button. The next thing I do is power it off. Is the pump going out or is it something in the electronics or what any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Before hitting any buttons you need to write down the fault code. As soon as it starts beeping take note of which lights are on along the top row. There are 8 lights. Count from the right and tell us which number light is on and which are off. That will tell us the error code and what it means.

The third and fourth lights from the left indicate a failed motor controller (error code 48) If this is the correct fault code you will have to replace the motor controller. However before that is done all the electrical components which can effect the controller must be checked as well...Best to call a tech...Good luck Nomess

Cycle starts, but does not fill with water

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)

During short spin cycles between rinses it doesn't pump water out

Try looking to see if the little motor is spinning the drain pump. It is in the bottom right. Occasionally I get a small metal shard which locks the pump and therefore-no draining. You can undo everything and check the pump for blockage. Then if need be, replace the mechanisim. The parts are all on line, as is the manual. or call 800 776-3538
