Key pad is locked
Key Pad or Touchpad? Is it that the mouse pointer is frozen and does not work? If so, look at the middle of the touchpad at the top of it and there might be a button there that lets you toggle the touchpad between locked and unlocked.
Sometimes there might be a set of keystrokes you will have to hit to lock or unlock the keypad. Most times you will have to Press and Hold the Alt, FN or Ctrl key then hit the key (most times one of the F1 thru F12 keys) that controls the keypad. The key that controls the keypad will have the icon of a finger inside or pointing at a square that represents the keypad. On one laptop recently that I worked on it was toggled by Pressing and Holding the ALT key then hit the F6 key. F6 had a finger pointing at a square area representing the touchpad.
