Can't get time and day display off screen

Get what use you can, there is not a way to "fix" that--the front screen unit is called a display panel and even if it was available the part alone would cost much more than the whole set did when new, time to go shopping for a new set.

Sorry, damage to the screen unit is always fatal.

This maybe a powerline glitch. Reset the TV may help. Disconnect TV from powerline for 5 minutes, then reconnect and power on?

call memorex at 1-877-363-6673 and tell them you need ic location u305 in main pcba this is whats causing the problem and they will send you one

Please press " i " button on TV remote so on-screen display will disappear.

Push the big blue "DIAL" button for 3 seconds, and the hour will blink, change the hour by pressing the up or down keys right by the "DIAL" button. Press the dial button again to move to the minute. You can cycle through the month, day, day of week etc. by pushing the dial button after each setting.

Most Memorex MT 2274 units were produced in 2004. There is a white label attached to the back of each set which ought to tell you which exact month and year. (Mine was manufactured in April 2004.)

ok for those of you having the problem with the memorex mt1701 lcd tv / pc monitor well i had got one of a site call cl anyway when i first turn on it would stay on then turn off all i could here was the sound ok well i figuerd for sume reason the pc mode is the only way to get it to work right!! dont ask me y? but heres how to keep it on and able to watch tv. ok first when you turn the tv on it will go blank after a few when it does on your remote turn it to pc mode that will b the next one after tv you won be able to see if its in pc mode unless you turn the tv on and off a few time but you dont need to do that cuz pc mode is right after tv mode ok so your in pc mode you still wont see anything but what you want to watch for is the the power light it will remaine green for a few seconds than change orange when it does turn off tv than power on in pc mode you will see a no signal sign blinking swithch to the next mode quikly before the light goes orange again after this youll be able to watch tv but keep in mind iv had to youse this methode every once in awile. sumtimes whe id turn the tv of and on it would go to the blank screen again and sumtimes not so i hope i helped sum of you with this problem but thats the way this tv works for sum reason if you have any questions feel free to ask thanks and i hope this help you!!!!!!!!!
