I have held the Stop/Start button down for 15 seconds, unplugged and then replugged in back in, and it still stays stuck at 12. I didn't find a 1 = Basic setting so I was thinking that the default setting might be 2, which is what it started on, and was going to go through the menu settings and back to the 1. But, it got stuck on the 12 and would not go any further. So I looked up here how to reset it and tried, but, no matter how many times I have tried the holding the S/S button down it won't reset. Each time I plug it back in after letting it cool all the way down it is still showing 12 and keeps counting down the backing time. I have used it many times for the express setting but wanted to try the regular setting, and now I can't reset it to even get to the express setting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bread Machine Replacement Parts
If you are having problems with your bread machine you may be able to fix it with replacement parts. That is if it is the paddles or the pan you are having problems with. If it is something within the bread machine that is not working properly then you probably won’t have a lot of luck finding these bread machine replacement parts.
Keep in mind the price of the bread machine replacement parts as well. If they are very expensive you will be better off just buying a new bread machine. But, if your bread machine was really expensive and is still in good shape and the replacement parts aren’t that much, then the replacement parts might be a better option for you.
Most bread machines work well for years without the need for replacement parts and many machines have warranties as well. But, if you are having problems then you will need to decide if replacement parts or a new machine are the right option for you. If you need replacement parts then call the manufacturer of your bread machine.

The Sunbeam 5891 is a disposable type for there are no user-servicable parts. Addressing Power-up/Start-up Issues: 1. Unplug the breadmaker. 2. Confirm the power source you're accessing is live using a blender, toaster, etc. 3. Plug the breadmaker in. 4. Confirm the breadmaker is receiving power: 3. No, you were not able to confirm that your breadmaker is receiving power? Sorry to hear that. Attempt to have the breadmaker serviced by a small appliance repair facility or simply discard it. 4. Yes, you have confirmed that your breadmaker is receiving power? Fantastic! Now reboot the breadmaker's electronics by pressing down continuously on the Start button until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system. Special Note: Often the + and - Timer Delay buttons are pressed by mistake, delaying Start by up to 12 hours. If you suspect the Timer Delay feature has been engaged accidentally, you'll need to reboot the breadmaker's electronics. You can do this by pressing down on the Start button continuously until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.

That should fix it. Hope this helps!
