It only flashed green to begin with but when i took the bulb out it would flash green 7 times then flash red 3 then pause then flash red 3 times again.
The 3 blinks is lamp door not closed, what it really means is the door may be warped from the heat of the lamp===the door has a plastic peg on the back that when the door is in place engages a lever just behind the door. If the door is even a little bowed=three blinks.
Engage the lever with something not metal and see if set comes on, if it does replace the door.

A 5 blink error indicates a bad lamp driver. However a lamp may possibly cause this too. I suggest putting a new lamp in if you have one just to verify the lamp is not the problem. If it still fails with a new lamp then the lamp driver is the problem. This part should be replaced by a Sony authorized servicer. The lamp can be replaced easily by you. The lamp replacement instructions are in the TV's owners manual. Good Luck

try to take the bulb out and put it bk in make sure the door on the side is locked or it will not come on

3 times red light flashing indicates that lamp cover has not been fixed correctly in tv after lamp replacement. Please make sure lamp cover is fixed securely after lamp replacement.
