To enter service mode, press the yellow Clear button, then 1-0-7. Then hold down the red Stop button for about 5 seconds. The screen will shift to a menu.
Fuser Error. Check fuser thermistor. reset fuser error. go to service mode press clear modes, 1, 0, 7, hold clear/stop. once in service mode turn off main power switch on the left side. turn back on.
The proceedure is to press the following buttons in this order; clear modes, 1,0,7,clear. hold clear button for at least 5 seconds. This should get you in.
How many copies on that machine? The photoconductor unit on that model only goes 45,000 copies. If the machine wont tone up and the pcu is old i would replace it and calibrate to see if the problem goes away. The pcu is cheap for that model. Start there would be my advice.

Code SC726 means the Finisher
shift tray 1 lift motor error. You need to enter service mode and reset the unit by following
the instructions given below. To enter service mode (SP): Press
the clear mode key then enter 1-0-7 hold down the c/s for three seconds. To
enter the special service mode you’ll need to hold the # key down while
pressing Copy SP.Exit service mode: by pressing exit twice. It will reset the and cycling the power.

2. Turn on machine.
3. Turn off machine.
4. Reconnect the cable.
5. Turn on machine.
