the serial number can also be obtained from yours laptop's bios settings, depressing the F2 key on startup should take you into your bios settings

Sometimes a serial number will be imprinted on a receipt, depending on where you bought the computer...or on packaging that you might have saved...
I've seen suggestions that it might be possible to locate it in the cmos/bios setup, but that doesn't seem too likely to me, and if you found one there, it's hard to believe it would be the same as the production ser. #.
You could try sending a support request to Acer, describing your situation... they might have some trick to locate critical info like hitting esc or F2 as it boots, but it may scroll by too quickly to read...

SOURCE: Lost serial # for a Gateway notebook Model MX 6425.

Here's one link to Gateway support for your notebook. If you may have saved a receipt for your notebook, sometimes the serial number is encoded on the receipt. Otherwise, perhaps you have the original packing box it came in stashed away somewhere. There's a label on the box with the serial number on it.
Otherwise, I'm not sure how to help you. Did you fill out any warranty cards or other info to keep track of the notebook when you bought it? Gateway support options here.

Each camera made has it's own serial number so the manufacture can track the item for warranty service, it is impossible to obtain stickers for that reason.

The serial number of your system should be located on the bottom of your computer. Look for a white sticker on the bottom and locate the S/N number. The lenovo serial number is alpha numeric and usually starts with letters. If you need the drivers for your webcam you can download it at
www.consumersupport.lenovo.com Just input your serial number and you can find the webcam driver on the list. Hope this helps.

Yep, the sticker on the bottom did contain the serial number. For my m753, the Kodak website said they would repair for $60, or give 25% off of a purchase from their website (which has pretty good prices, actually). You will also notice that Kodak has discontinued the M753.

If you're looking for the serial number of your specific product, the only two locations that it would be, would be on a sticker tagged somewhere on the machine (usually on the bottom, or on the rear), and on the original box (provided it was purchased new). If the sticker is gone, or the serial number is worn out, and you no longer have the box for the printer itself, then I'm afraid there is no way to conceivably retrieve the serial number for this printer. There may be a chance that there is another sticker, or a tag of some sort inside the printer casing, but I've never taken one apart to look for a serial number before.

Usually to find the serial number for most manufactured computers or laptops like Dell, HP, ACER, etc. They usually put a sticker at the back of the computer with that information, don't look at the back of the monitor it should be at the back of the computer tower for desktops and for laptops its going to be on the bottom on of the laptop PC. Other times it will be on the side or the front of the PC itself so look carefully for a sticker.

And also for different companies, they have different names for the serial number. Example for Dell PC's it's called SERVICE TAG or the EXPRESS SERVICE CODE, sticker. Check with the manual of your computer or otherwise contact the Technical Support for your PC.
