Question about Sunbeam 2485 MixMaster Series Hand Mixer
My Sunbeam 2485 has a great moter but one of the beaters does not turn. I had taken the mixer apart and discovered a small metal spring pin was not attached. This pin is similar looking to the metal pin in a clothes pin. I believe this pin, when attached, turns the gears that turn the beaters. I have unsuccessfully tried to find a diagram of the mixer's inside construction so I could repair it myself. My question is where does this pin belong that turns the gears, that turns the beaters? Thanks for any insight!
That spring does not turn the beaters. It is part of the beater release assembly. Probably one of the gears is worn.
