Missing the driver files for the cam. Go to the manufacturers web site and download the driver files for the cam. That should solve the issue. After this is done go to devices and see if the cam is located. Also you can go to Windows updates and see if it is found in the hardware section of any updates. Here is a link for the driver Click Here John

Why isn't my webcam working

click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there
if you are have trouble with your webcam

click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam
click start right click on my computer select properties then device manager scroll down image

devices expand you could see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X
right click to reinstall drivers or update driver software
Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.

But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.

Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

How to reformat pentium 4 2.8g to windows xp

Since Windows XP isn't a filesystem, that doesn't quite make sense, but it sounds like you want to find or buy a Windows XP DVD, put it in the machine's DVD drive, enter the BIOS to check your settings and set it to boot from CD-ROM (it works for DVDs too, after all,) save settings and reboot...then install WinXP.

Keep in mind that if you have unsaved data on the system's hard drive, you would want to swap it out for a new one until Windows XP (or Ubuntu, or Fedora 15, much more modern OS which are quite capable of running WinXP programs using a program environment called 'wine' (no relation to drvino.com)) is installed; that way you're not going to overwrite old stuff you wanted to keep.

Then you can install the old drive on whatever interface is handy and migrate your settings over, make backups, use the old drive for pagefile or to try new filesystems and virtualization environments, etc.

Had to reformat my computor but now i carnt get my cam to work need to intall it again but dont have the disc

Download one of the following drivers. Choose the operating system you're using:

- Windows XP
- Windows ME
- Windows 98
- Windows 2000

If your OS is not listed above then it's not supported. If you're running Windows 7, download from any link and run in compmatibility mode. You should be ok.

Hope this helps.

Unable to install xp in acer t650

while in ms-dos type in

"format: c"

C is usually your hard drive, if it isn't then use the right name. If you're upgrading to a newer version of Windows then you can use the instillation CD to reformat your hard drive.

I have lenovo Y 410 laptop with windows XP but webcam not work

Hi,

It seems that your laptop is holding webcam loading problems. Check whether the webcam driver is compatible for the OS which you use.
You can also try re-installing the webcam driver once again. This should do.

I hope this helps., if so, rate me..

Thanks - billa
