SOURCE: Water Leaks from beneath my washing machine

Our WM2077CW just started the water leaking from underneath. We unplugged the electrical cord and disconnected the hoses (water, drain). We then removed the inspection plate from the back and checked for wet hoses. The big black hose on the bottom was a little wet. On careful examination we found a small hole that looked like a material fatigue failure at the point where the accordion part of the hose met with the solid part of the hose near the main drum connection. I suspect this is may occur in other LG washers of the same design. Unless your floor is perfectly level it's hard to tell whether coming from the left or right side really indicates where underneath the water is coming from.

SOURCE: water keeps draining LG WF-561SPP top loader

If the cycle does not stop draining that is usually because of a faulty membrane switch that controls the water level in your appliance.
The faulty sensor cause the machine to think that there is still water inside, even when water has drained completely.

WILL NOT SPIN WATER OUT

Description of issue is lacking detail but... If the washing machine appears to be functioning normally but simply won't pump away the water then the possible causes, in the most likely order, are a blockage somewhere, a pump failure, or an electrical fault stopping the pump from running. A different fault that could be confused with "not emptying water" is if you don't take the washing out until several hours later and find there is still water inside the drum. If the initial water drained out ok but then water seeped back in over the next several hours you could think you have a problem with the machine not draining the water when in fact it's letting water siphon back in or a faulty valve is causing water to seep in.

Finding water in the washer after it sits idle for a few hours. Wife tells me that she completes a wash cycle as normal, moves the clothes to the dry emptying the washer. Then later in the day she returns...

yes its a leaky solenoid water inlet valve, shut off each water fill valve after using the machine and check the drum later to see if its still empty, then do the other4 valve and when you find water then thats the leaky valve, don't try to clean it,just replace the entire valve

We find water standing in the drum days after we wash a load. it isn't there when we unload a wash but shows up later. it reeks of sulphur. is the motor on the water pump going/gone bad? it works during...

Turn off the water supply valves behind the washer after you complete a lod. If there is no water in the tub a few days later, the machine has a bad internal water valve.

Thick Gear-like oil leaking from the bottom somewhere

looks like your washer is developing a leak from the seals in the drum thus allowing some water to seep into the bearings get it checked before the bearings run out completely

Water appears in drum hours after being emptied

could be several reasons...condinsation, if small amount of water moisture try leaving door ajar and see if evaporation takes care of it then you will know and it's possible that your water inlet valve has some "dirt" trapped in the seat and allowing water to seep into washer even though unit not calling for water

I have a bad smell and taste in water and ice from fridge/freezer

Take out all shelves and accessories that can be removed. Wash these thoroughly with a mild detergent (dish washing liquid and warm water) and rinse thoroughly. Allow them to air dry completely.
* Wipe the inside walls of the refrigerator and freezer down completely with a solution of 1 quart warm water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Wipe the walls completely dry.
* Leave the doors standing wide open. Use a fan to circulate air through the cabinets for several hours to completely dry the inside walls. After several hours, turn the fan off.
* Replace the shelves in the refrigerator. Place shallow trays of one of the following deodorizers on the shelves of the refrigerator and freezer:
o Baking soda
o Activated carbon (used in aquarium filters, can be obtained at a pet store)
o Cat litter
o Fresh and unused coffee grounds (this may leave a coffee smell that would dissipate after several days)
* After 24 hours, plug in the refrigerator and allow it to cool for several hours with the deodorizer still in place. Once cooled to normal operating temperature, remove the trays of deodorizer and put your food back into the refrigerator and freezer.
* Keep some cereal size bowls of a deodorizer in the freezer and refrigerator cabinets for several days

Drum filling with water

An obstruction in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Good luck !
