Eraser side of stylus not working

Hi all, I have an Asus EP121 running windows 7 on it. Since day 1 I've been having issues with using the stylus in photo editing programs like Photoshop and Art Rage. I downloaded and installed the latest wacom driver through asus to solve my pressure sensitivity issue. That seems to be working fine now however I can't get me eraser to work. (It hasn't been working from the beginning.) And I can't seem to find much help on the subject online. I have ISD tablet properties and whenever I disable the eraser, it works like the pen tip. However when I click to enable it, the cursor shows up on the screen but nothing erases. So I know the stylus itself is working. I'm sure this is some sort of driver issue but I'm not sure what I should try next since I have the latest one. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

SOURCE: windows 7 is not recognizing the touch screen on

Hi, you need to "Update the Drivers;" there are a few ways to do so, follow each to complete the Updates. First, go to the "Control Panel," find the "applet, [Device Manager], open it, and scroll to find the "Touch Screen component. Next, [Alt click], or "right click to open, in the (Top) of the window there will be the "Driver" tab, open the next window, and select the "Update Drivers" button, follow the instructions afterward, click on the "OK button and "restart" the computer. The next way is to click on the "Start Button" open "All Programs. Scroll to find Microsoft [Windows] Updates, and select to {Search for new updates}. The third way is to go to the "Manufacturer" ie. ASUS, and download the drivers needed from the "Website." "Rating the solution if it helped is more than appreciated, thanks for using "Fix'Ya."

SOURCE: i have an asus Eee 100HA. i think some virus

The first thing you should try and do is to boot your computer into Safe Mode. This will load the basics of the operating system without loading the higher drivers for video, sound, and other normal operating system drivers. I am assuming you are using Windows 7, but the process is the same for all Windows operating systems.

Power up your computer and immediately press and hold your F8 key. This key has to be pressed before the Windows logo appears. You should get the Advanced Boot Options screen. Then you will use your arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode Without Networking (you'll do this just in case the virus is the kind that tries to get onto the internet and download or upload items to and from your hard drive). Eventually you will get a login screen. It will probably look a bit odd as your computer will not be in it's normal resolution setting. One of the login names should be your Administrator's account. This is the account that you want to login to your computer with.

Let the computer finish loading up Windows. Once that is complete you will want to run a complete scan of your entire system using whatever anti-virus program you have on your computer. If you have more than one anti-virus program, or is you have an anti-virus as well as an anti-spyware program, you should run all of them. Most of the better anti-virus programs are made to do an excellent job of scrubbing the garbage out of your system in Safe Mode. If you do not have any of these programs on your computer then you will have to purchase one for yourself. Any of your local computer stores will have a good selection to choose from. They all have their good points. I personally like the Eset Anti-virus software.

If you don't have anything installed on your computer for virus and malware removal you can boot your computer into Safe Mode With Networking. Once the system finishes loading you can go to the following website:

http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner

This is an online version of their software that will scan your entire system and then get rid of anything it finds.

This is another website that you can check out:

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

This will take you to an excellent article that you can follow step by step. They also have free programs that you can download that will run scans to help you get rid of any viruses or malware that you may have on your computer.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to let me know.

I bought 4 ZEEPAD 7DRK Rock tablets for my grand kids for Christmas and 2 of them will not even turn on. The 3rd one worked for 3 days and it also will no longer turn on. I've tried charging them...

Hi, Zeepads have an issue with powering on....when charging it is best to use the mains charging as it is more powerful....if you are sure they have been fully charged then try this:

Hold the power button down for about 2-3 minutes.
Listen for a small click.
Take finger off of power button and wait for about 30 seconds.
Hit the power button again.

Hopefully you should see the start up screen, post back with the results!

I installed windows xp on my toshiba tecra m4. How stylus pen works?

Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 is Tablet PC. Windows XP (Profession) has no option of touch screen.
In order to use the feature, you need to install Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or you may install Windows 7, which supports this feature and you would definately be able to use stylus and touch screen, as I have installed Windows 7 and its working fine with all the drivers etc.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!
