No sound or picture on my tv, the lamp is blown, but will the sound return after I replace the lamp or is this a seperate issue?
SOURCE: I have a JVC HD-52FA97
The lights may be related to each other or their problem might be isolated.
For the red lamp light, it is not necessarily a faulty bulb but an error which may affect the bulb. It could be because an error detected. The fan's temperature may be increasing due to a faulty fan. Try cleaning the fan located in the lamp assembly. The fan may also need replacing. Another cause could be the power supply sending high voltages which may damage the bulb. At this instance it is possible that the lamp may be damaged by the heat or the increase voltage.
For the blue light, press the following on the TV itself;
hod 'menu' + 'vol (-)'
power then release
after 5 sec release 'menu' + 'vol (-)'
The TV will turn on otherwise unplug TV and press 'power'. Repeat if this does not work.
