ESA 42' plasma turned off on it's own and won't turn back on.

I was watching my ESA 42' plasma last night and all of a sudden the tv turned off. I tried to use my remote to turn it back on but nothing happened. The remote wouldn't work and I tried to unplug it and replug it and nothing happened again. There is a reset button the side and I tried that also. The tv seemed alittle hot. I only had it on from 8:30 p.m. to 10:25 p.m. and I hardly even turn it on. Did it just need to cool off and maybe it will work when I get home from work. What do you think ??

I think, when a power supply's time is up, it's up now. There is not usually any advance warning,(besides your warranty has expired of course). If you are feeling un-normal heat from the TV, that is a sign the power board just fried out. They always get very hot, from the microchips cooking themselves until there is nothing left to need power. Plan on paying a TV tech to replace your power board.

ESA 42" plasma tv not turning on

I have a 42 inch plasma and I was watching tv last night on it and suddenly it turned off on it's own. I tried turning it off and on and nothing happened. Then I tried to unplug it and replug it and nothing. My remote does not work either. Anyone know what exactly happened? Did my screen blow or what? I hardly ever use the tv and I only had it on from 8:30 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. and it turned off. All the other tv's in my house worked fine - I checked them. Also, my dvd player and cable box is on the same power cord and both of them work. Any solutions or help would be most appreciated!!! Does it just need to cool down or did I burn something out? Help!!!

Funai tv

Open the back cover and check any fuse blow in Y Sustain board or Z Sustain board. If you do find the fuse gone, replace the board. Good luck!
