Ceck the vent hose and vent. Make sure these are clear of obstruction. This is tipical of poor venting. The dryer can`t remove the moist air to dry the clothes properly.

If your Hoover 5kg dryer is not working properly, there are a few potential causes for this problem:
The dryer may not be receiving enough power. Make sure the dryer is plugged in and the outlet is functioning properly.
The dryer's lint filter may be clogged. Clean the lint filter to ensure it is not blocking the air flow.
The dryer's vent may be clogged. Check the vent and clean it if necessary to ensure the air can flow freely.
The dryer's heating element may be damaged. If the heating element is not functioning properly, the dryer will not be able to dry clothes effectively.
If you are unsure how to check for and address these potential causes, you may want to consult the user manual for your Hoover dryer or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Wow, a late 1980 machine! If it is turning and not heating it probably needs a new heating element, IF you can find one. New ones are more energy efficient and look prettier. They also have sensing programs to stop drying when the clothes are dry and my Whirlpool has a water injector to steam refresh clothes or remove creases before you wear.
Is it heating up at all? I just fixed my vision hd hoover 381 dryer by replacing the heating element. Email me if you think this might be you ([email protected]). When the dryer is running, feel the metal heater housing (carefully) on the back (silver bulge) if your model is like mine.
Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many differentthings that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check outthis electric no heat tip...
First thing I would check is the vent. If you have good heat but it is still taking too long, usually it is caused by a vent that is either too long , kinked or clogged. if the dryer is auto dry and not electronic dry then you will need to gauge weather the load needs more or less dry. If it is just taking a long time for the clothes to dry, more than likely the vent. If the clothes are dry before it is done running then it is more than likely a setting issue. Way out of the box .... are your clothes spinning out dry enough in your washer? do they dry in the normal time on timed dry?
you need to check that for vent hose is not kinked if it is not then remove it from the dryer and see if it work right if it does then the vent tube that goes thourgh the wall has a blockage
Hi, looks like there's 1 of 2 faults. Either the stats or the heating element. They are located at the back of the TD, covered bi a screwed panel. If you have a multimeter, turn it to buzz and check the connections. If the meter buzzes it's ok, if the meter doesn't buzz it's dead and needs replacing.
Cheers
ok so you have some heat.your dryer unless an ge one has one element so if you have heat its working.then what you have is an exust problem.once you heat up the clothes and cause the moisture to evaporate then it must be able to leave the dryer or it reclings to the clothes, hence lond dry times.to test this dry a load with the venting undone and the dryer pulled out.dont worry it wont start a fire/never!its about 180 degress to 130 of moist air. if ok then confirms that venting is blocked.some times dryers get blocked internaly also but do the other first.God bless, tom
Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
