SOURCE: how do is program a viper alarm and remote starer

first you will need to locate your valet switch/button, which will be a black push button located somewhere under the driver side dash.

Open a Door,

Turn your key to ON position,

within 5 seconds of turning your key to the ON spot,

press and release the program button 1 time, then press it a 2nd time and hold it this time
the L.E.D will flash one time and then you will hear a chirp,

while still holding the valet switch, press the lock button on your new remote. you should hear a single chirp.

After chirp you can release the program button and turn the key to off.

you should hear a long chirp when the alarm exits the programming

try the remote

if the remote functions don't work properly, you can always try a different # pattern.

ex: press 2 times and hold on the 3rd, press 3 times and hold on the 4th.

SOURCE: got a new remote for my viper 791XZ and reprogrammed it .

this usually means that the remote did not recieve a signal back from the module or the module did not recieve the remote signal
have you tried repeatively to press the unlock button? does the remote starter work or aux( trunk ) ?
also when putting the battery in the remote , be easy because there is a connector plug soldered on the board real close to where the battery is , and if it is hit by the battery hard enough it will cause those solder connections to disconnect and you will get the beeps and or other malfunctions

I have a viper starter and car alarm with 2 controlls and one got stolen what should I do

The Viper alarms will accept (if I remember correctly), 4 codes at one time. That is, 4 individual remotes, or two remotes two times, or one remote 4 times. So, if you program your remote 4 times, it will essentially remove any previously programmed remotes. Another option, and you'll have to check with your dealer, but I think there is a way to delete ALL remotes, and then program your remaining remote one time, and again, all previously programmed remotes are now removed from memory. This was done by the manufacturer just for such events.
